Analysis:
The Bears are coming off a 5-11 season. As a result of that poor performance, they fired head coach John Fox replacing him with former Chiefs offensive co-ordinator Matt Nagy. Green Bay were without star quarterback Aaron Rogers for a good portion of last season. His absence had a lot to do with the Packers finishing with a 7-9 record. Veteran Green Bay wide receiver Jordy Nelson was released during the off-season. The Bears had a very good 2018 draft. They grabbed Georgia star linebacker Roquan Smith at No. 8 overall. They helped themselves on offense when they drafted Iowa offensive lineman James Daniels with their first pick in the second round and Memphis wide receiver Anthony Miller with their second pick in the second round. Some people had Smith ranked as one of the best prospects in this year’s draft. The Packers also had a good draft. They took two cornerbacks with their first two picks and a linebacker with their third pick. Green Bay selected three wide receivers in the 4th, 5th and 6th rounds in an effort to replace Nelson. The Bears were two games above 500 ATS last season. The Packers finished two games below 500. The trade for Khalil Mack may pay dividends down the road but he may see limited action in this game. Take Green Bay.
