These headlines are all over the place today since they formally announced it yesterday. This is seriously hilarious, I truly can't believe someone actually thought this was a good idea. We had probably one of the best AHL teams as far as fan support... I really think they just killed it. This is going to piss all of the die hard Wolfpack fans off who were sick of hearing about the Whalers; and its going to piss the Whalers fans off who went to Wolfpack games because its a disgrace and mockery of the name. Oh well...

Not really a fan of this. I always thought the name Wolfpack was pretty cool. I wonder if the new jerseys are going to resemble the old Whalers' jerseys. Also changing the name and look midseason seems very strange to me.

Also its a shame to see that Springfield may be losing their team. They've been part of the AHL for as long as I can remember with various affiliations.
