Heatwave wants us to notice patterns. But only the ones that are convenient for him

Don't pay attention to the pattern of the Yankees winning baseball games and the Jays losing them

Don't pay attention to the pattern of the Jays consistently being around the same # of games back in the standings for a while now

Don't pay attention to the pattern of the Jays being in last place since day 1

Instead, pay attention to the pattern of..... [the floor is yours heatwave. Tells us what patterns are relevant]

CockBreath!
The pattern of the Jays scoring 12 runs a game !!!!

You must really hate the Blue Jays winning games.

Did you notice the Yankees are in first place yet?

Well there is actually a member of the boards that thinks making it to the playoffs is a failure.

On one side of the coin...not winning a WS is a failure

But Making the playoffs in Baseball is still an accomplishment..

It should cut into Wells time, but I wouldn't complain if it cut into Ichiro's as well. Especially against lefties

I'd ride Wells until and if he starts to falter. I wouldn't mess with his rythym now by taking AB's. HR's and run production are harder to come by than Gardners 1-4 everyday, with great defense, just my opinion

WAIT!!!

You said repeatedly "the offense is coming around". I said, it's not!
Now you are saying it isn't because of the great pitchers they faced!?

Which one is it?
They are coming around or have struggled lately against good pitchers?

OR
Did you mean They are coming around - because they scored 12 runs on Sunday????

So, did you get help with the multiple choice question yet?

in the last ten games the blue jays are averaging just under 5 runs per game. where as prior to that they were averaging just a tic over 3. there is close to a two run per game more difference. yes the offense is coming around. and the point is if you face ACE pitchers more times than not you aren't gonna score as many runs as you would mediocre pitching.

Nobody remembers this.

"the 2011 Cardinals sucked all they could win was the wild card."

No, but I do remember someone saying "it's all about expectations" and then trying to explain how successful the Rams were this year because of how low their expectations were.

Safe to say, anything but the division for the Cardinals will be deemed a failure by said poster.

Well i'm sure Heat would be very happy with the WC. Since when is Making the playoffs a Faliure

You sound like the people that said the Orioles were a fluke last year at this time...Because they didn't have the Talent to sustain their luck...That they would fall back to earth because of corrections.....

On July 17th. the Orioles were 46-44..

Blue Jays Can't get back to 500 by July?

So yeah...don't tell me its impossible.. Just improbable and no reason why a Die-hard fan can't still hold on to hope right now...

(Yes I realize the Orioles didn't win the Division, AL east looked real stacked last year in the first half too)

Hasn't H append =/=Can't happen...Just like in 2004 a team coming 3-0 in the ALCS just wasn't going to happen, right?

Scal - good long Down like post (whatever happened to that guy) :)

But, it's not cause it never happened, it's because this Jays team is exactly what I said they would be
Injured
HR or nothing
Bad Starting pitching
Bad Clubhouse
Melky is awful
Reyes isn't playing a whole season
Johnson "has all the potential" in the world but has been a failure for his career and cant get healthy.
Bautista is a HR machine with a lifetime OB% of .300
Their middle relief is awful

Despite Heat wanting me to say "the blue jays suck and the yankees rule just because", I have given examples and issues from day one. And 90% of them have been realized already - and it's EARLY in the season.

So, this team is NOT winning the Division.
And, even a WC is a failure for Heat, not the team. Heat was humping them like the 27 Yankees for two fucking months.

This post is less accurate than my Celtics/Knicks series prediction.

Come on man. You haven't been right all year!

And as far as the Heat losing?

Haven't they won something like 47 of their last 50 or some ungodly number?

They have the best player by far, which is the biggest single determining factor in all basketball games...and if all else fails? The league wants Miami to win.

No chance they lose this year.

Ahh the mind of the Red Sox fan. Division title is where they set their goals because the World Series is simply unattainable. Way to keep your goals SMART.

You can't say they are AVERAGING 5 runs a game when they score 12 runs in one game and 4 or less in 60% of them!

We are talking about consistant offense, not explode one day and get shut out the next!

STOP Talking

So the Cardinals were total failures last year since they didn't reach the world series? I agree. What an embarassment.

I said a few pages back Johnny, if it came down to that series between Memphis and Miami, the referees and David Stern would dictate the outcome, still doesnt mean Memphis cant win in a 6-7 game series.

You have been driving around with an expired sticker for half a year

State Troopers certainly look out for this... Needless to say my car was towed because of it

I haven't followed the NBA in 10 years, but there's no way Miami loses, short of LeBron breaking his leg or some shit...

Easiest bet out there.
