Ok, so BAM, first of all, good to hear from you.

The 2014/15 season is going to be dynamic. They have many round 1 draftees on the roster with rookie to three years experience (6 of them). I believe we will see a one star form from that group, or I hope.

There are a few vets like Bass and Green, that now have what looks like super attractive contracts, and are absolutely in play as trade material. Green wants to stay long term, he claims to be maturing and serious about being consistent and a leader..we will see. Bass is a no brainer for a team wanting to win now.

Then we have Rondo. Ah yes Rondo. I fell in love with this kid early on, and I know he is a key asset for a team that has two starts already, but is Boston really right for him? If he gets traded, which is 50-50, it will be because Marcus Smart delivers (you will note I am being quite on him till I see a few games.....everyone knows how he played against the USA team,).

Then we have all those picks, and trade exceptions. Danny just drafted at 6 and 15 and now is about to have even more round 1-ers.

In the end, this may be the most exciting year if your a person who loves following a super young team that is playing for the trades ahead.

I will go out and say Marcus Smart is in a fantastic position to be the ROY, or at least give Parker a run with Rondo's injury.

Record prediction: 25-57

They will come out strong, close to 500, but the lure to trade Bass/Green and even Rondo will deplete the team in the second half. This team will be run by players all under 26 years old.

Its one final year before a major deal/trade is done. The Pelicans may be getting an offer they cannot refuse

As a Celtics fan since the days of Larry the Legend landing in Beantown I don't expect anything out of them this year. It'll be a miracle if they can even finish @ 41-41. And seeing as how they only went 25-57 last year even 41 W's is a stretch. It's gonna be another ugly upcoming season.

Yes Wamu, we wont see 41. Best case 33.

But this is the end of the trough that we needed to go through to get young.

It will pay off

I'm intrigued to see what Smart can do and what his role will be within the team. I was quite surprised the Celtics picked him at 6 to be honest. I thought you guys could have done with Vonleh or Randle

SHaq I wanted Vonleh. local kid that got into the game later in life but with giant hands and wingspan. An he can shoot. Not just great d. I have been super cautious about Smart. He will be a good player and great d but is he just another Avery b?

good luck this season as you may yet uncover a hidden gem amongst your plethora of youngins....oh yea, Rondo will be bye-bye at some point this year. he's not getting any younger and does he really want to be in a rebuild phase at this stage of his career. they may get some vets who can build up the roster nicely, in return.

BAM I would be very happy if they got real assets for Rondo. That said, based on the latest TV deals, a max deal at end of year is actually not a big deal to the Celts.

I like Kelly.

7 footer that can shoot like Dirk.

But, has ball-handling skills like a guard.

What's not to like...well, he needs to get stronger.

But, I like him...I'm hoping he turns into the next Dirk and not the next Bargnani.

I watched him alot at Gonzaga.

I read a story that said he grew 7 inches over one Summer and they had to move him from pg to pf.

But, he retained his handle so that's a win.

Cool stuff Mecca. Yeah you can already see he has been beefing up and being more assertive. I think National team work over summer paid off. Stevens has these kids playing complete defense all seconds all the time. I suspect he will rotate often and use the entire bench.

Sully and Kelly as bigs but he has them shooting a lot of threes .

We can only hope they get better year by year. And I hope Smart turns out to be a good draft day decision.

Yeah...Kelly can hit them too.

I really wanted to see Steven reunited with Hayward.

But, they have a ton of cash and a slew of draft picks that will help them land some good players this Summer.

Brad was a great hire and a breath of fresh air in a league full of retread coaches.
