shit like this has a tendency to be somewhat unnerving:

Michigan State football: What we learned, what to watch for

From the same article:
"Not that it wasn't already, but much of Saturday resembled a Lions game from (fill in the decade)."

What do you want to bet Dantonio has this posted in the locker room?

There is one thing that all Wolverines and Spartans agree on, don't you dare compare us to the lions!!!

otoh, this site just wouldn't be right if the Husker board didn't collapse in shame and loathing at least once/year, so...

Not real sure why the Iowa Wisconsin game wouldn't be #1 this week. Not being a homer but let's be honest, Northwestern beat a shitty Stanford team at home and Duke at Duke who beat a mediocre GT team who got manhandled by a ND team that should've lost to UVA. Minnesota after week one is back to being Minnesota needing a shit call to escape Ohio U. Not to mention the fact that Ana's squeaked by Ball STate last week. The winner of the Iowa Wisconsin game makes their mark in the West at this point. Minnesota vs NW is like watching two monkeys fucking a football

I will agree with Hawkeyesruleurface, the winner of the Iowa Wisconsin game is the leader of the west and that is the top game of the week.

My rankings for the west
1. Wisconsin good defense and getting on a roll

2. Northwestern Stanford and Duke have only one loss and that is to Northwestern. Good defense with a good rush game. Struggles in Big Ten play though

3. Iowa playing sneaky good with a good defense. Beathard was the right choice. Looks like Ferentz is pulling a rabbit out of the hat. Might get another extension to 2030.

4. Minnesota beat Nebraska the last two years, so they are ahead of Nebraska. But something is smelling mighty funky up there in Minneapolis.

5. Nebraska worst defense in the west, yes, Purdue's defense is ranked higher at this point. Nebraska has the nation's absolute worst pass defense. In my lifetime, this is the first time Nebraska has ever achieved something this bad on defense. Not even Cosgrove was able to do that, but I am sure he weakened the foundation so it could happen.

6. Illinois Cubit has them playing well. Defense plays great against bad offenses, but Nebraska is a good offense

7. Purdue just bad

Not sure if you all know this, but the Big Ten West has five defenses ranked in the top 30, and two defenses ranked in the bottom 30.

Only one Big Ten West team has an offense ranked in the Top 30, Nebraska and they are ranked #19 in total offense.

I'm sooo sorry.

She should only be allowed to call Auburn games.

it's like a punishment or something...
I'm sure she'd be tolerable, though, if she kept her mouth shut and just sat there being ugly.

Could we see Iowa vs Michigan in the B1G Championship?

Beathard vs Rudock?

:pound: What about Indiana?

Reason I said Iowa and Michigan is because the QBs. I don't know if either one will, even though Iowa's chances just went way up.

I was just kidding around. A few weeks ago I would have said hell would freeze over first. That being said, it's still highly unlikely. Of the three we mentioned, Iowa does have the best shot after today.

Iowa has been fortunate with opposing injuries. I don't think they would have beaten Pitt if they had Conner and I don't think they would have won today if Wisconsin had Clement.

Considering...
MSU is missing a future NFL CB (Vayante Copeland - back injury); a future first-round LT (Jack Conklin - knee); a returning starter at RT (Kodi Kieler - knee); a future NFL TE (Josiah Price - ankle); arguably the best LB on the team (Ed Davis - knee) and OT (Dennis Finley - broken leg) who was subbing for Conklin yesterday...
That's five elite starters and a great #2 man (Finley) not active for MSU.
imo, it's nothing short of a miracle the Spartans are 5-0 and still ranked in the top-10.

Are there any other B1G teams (or top-25 teams) anywhere near as decimated as MSU is?
