He had his run in with his ex-girlfriend before he came to Nebraska. He knew about the possible court case, but did not tell the Nebraska coaches about it.

His ex-girlfriend sent him a text. he responded by sending her the video of her giving a blowjob to an acquaintance, basically telling her to leave him alone.

She retaliated by having him served with child **** on his phone since she was underage. or else someone she knew got a lawyer to do it assuming he was going to make money as an athlete. Or else she was just evil and wanted to ruin his life, or else she was just a dumb high schooler like most of us were in high school, when we were trying to figure out what being an adult was.

Some power mad prosecutor, probably a fan of another high school, wanted to take him down. So, instead of giving him a break for being a dumb ass high schooler, and she being a dumb ass high schooler, the prosecutor throws the book at him for Child Pornography.

Now maybe, Maurice Washington is really into child pornography. But that never came out. So, I am giving Maurice the benefit of the doubt on him being into child pornography.

Once the court case became public, Scott Frost and Company were not happy.

Pressure was put on Maurice to follow certain guidelines while at Nebraska. Made it tough on him, because he had pending court cases that of course, the judicial system, would say was happening one day, but then be postponed to another day. So, his schedule was all messed up.

He was supposed to be at practice or class, but the legal system said he needed to be at a court appearance. Maurice would go through all the hassle of explaining to professors, Bill Moos, Scott Frost about why he had to miss class or practice, only to be jerked around by the court system.

As a young person, having to deal with a federal crime and the college rules, he was overwhelmed. So, he shut down. He was mostly a loner on the team, because his teammates knew he had issues that were far from anything that they had to deal with.

He has talent, but he needs to get this court case behind him so he can get on with his life. unfortunately for him, he does not have money to buy a high powered lawyer to defend him and navigate through the legal bullshit and he has thrown himself on the mercy of the court system to do him right.

The court system is doing him wrong and jerking him around.

It's not a great sign that DPJ went pro. He has a first round skillset, top 15 possibly. However, unless he puts up some unheard of numbers at the combine, he's not going until maybe mid-2nd. However, if he doesn't believe he can improve hi draft stock next year, I guess he has no choice.

DPJ was productive, but didn't quite dominate like you'd hope from a 5-star recruit. Pretty much like Gary. I'm happier that Collins is staying among the two of them. I'm hoping to see Giles Jackson get more looks though he's more of a slot WR.

I dont begrude guys leaving early if theyre going to be a lock roster guy but these dudes who leave early with little to no shot of being on a roster just make no sense. Luckily we are deep in the secondary at least
