Higdon might not have played in a game but he has the carries. I should have put Corbin above Sanders and Higdon. Going into last week, Corbin had 11 less rushing yards with 70 less carries and more TAds. And more receiving yards.

And what are the chances Adrian Martinet was ever going to make an award? What are the chances Shea Patterson would be with the same stats and losing record?

Higdon does have the carries. But he has so many carries when late in games where the defense puts 15 guys in the box as they know the run is coming

Corbin has 70 less carries. That is like 2 games with a lot of carries. Just think what Corbin can do with Michigan's OL.

My guess is he’d average less per carry because UM doesn’t run an offense with 4 and 5 wide where the defense is spread out. So you have to grind out yards more often, as more defenders are in the box.

Looks like Higdon gets plenty highlights from spread offense. Maybe more than Corbin's highlights.

Well, how did you all do with your preseason predictions? I'm not very happy that mine might be worse than I expected....

Batting .500. My 12-0 was good last year. I had said on other threads that Wisky was as apt to go 9-3 as they were 12-0. Shit happens.

If a couple of schools had brought their C game instead of sending the worst team in their intramural flag football leagues my prediction would be spot on. We split the Fresno St. and Illinois games which is how I had us at 3 wins.

I didn’t think we would be very good, but I didn’t think we would be this bad offensively.

The more I read, the more convinced I am that Iowa wins the game over Nebraska.

My B1G Power Rankings after Week 12

1. Michigan (10-1, 8-0) - LW 1 - Michigan and Ohio State are #1 in PF vs B1G (292). Michigan (102) has less than half the PA vs B1G as Ohio State has (206) allowed.
2. Ohio State (10-1, 7-1) - LW 2 - A dropped pass from the Terps' receiver makes "The Game" a lot more valuable. Five weeks ago, Ohio State would be favored. Now, will Harbaugh get this win he is missing in his resume?
3. Northwestern (7-4, 7-1) - LW 3 - A month into the season, NW was looking to be a B1G flop. Since losing to Michigan by 3, they have won 6-straight B1G games and a 10-point loss to undefeated Notre Dame. They haven't always looked pretty, but they kept winning.
4. Penn State (8-3, 4-3) - LW 5 - Coming into the season, PSU was a lock to have a 10-win season. But close losses to OSU and MSU, then Michigan derailed that hope. Winning four of their last 5 games does make them look good though.
5. Wisconsin (7-4, 5-3) - LW 6 - The Badgers were heavy favorites to win the West, but Northwestern had other plans. Having the best RB and a strong D was not enough.
6. Iowa (7-4, 4-4) - LW 8 - #6 to #9 was tough to decide as the past month wasn't the kindest to these teams. However, Iowa lost to teams that were in the hunt for the division, so they get the nod despite losing to Purdue.
7. Purdue (6-5, 5-3) - LW 7 - Purdue was tough as I am impressed with going 3 OTs with Wisconsin, but they have lost 3 of last four games and a was pummeled by Minnesota. They struggled early in the season and late in the season, but dominated mid-season.
8. Nebraska (4-7, 3-5) - LW 9 - The team that started 2-7 has now won 4 of last 5 games. Grant it, their wins are against teams that have allowed more points than have scored (or close to it in MSU's case).
9. Michigan State (6-5, 4-4) - LW 4 - Reason why I have MSU below Purdue is because they only managed to score six points against Nebraska's D. In fact, only Rutgers has not scored more than MSU, both overall and vs B1G. However, only Michigan has allowed fewer in overall and vs B1G. MSU has lost 3 of last 5 games.
10. Maryland (5-6, 3-5) - LW 12 - In the past two weeks, the Terps have lost by a combined 3 points. Losing by 2 to Indiana isn't all that good, but forcing OT vs Ohio State and had the victory slip through their fingers on a 2-point conversion attempt is impressive.
11. Minnesota (5-6, 2-6) - LW 10 - The Gophers have won 2 of their last 8 games. They played NW and Purdue very well, along with win vs Indiana, but have not looked impressive outside that.
12. Indiana (5-6, 2-6) - LW 11 - Hoosier's last six opponents have scored 30+ points. Although, the teams they played in that stretch are going bowling.
13. Illinois (4-7, 2-6) - LW 13 - Illinois just suffered their worse loss ever, to a coach that is not know to run up the score on their opponent.
14. Rutgers (1-9, 0-8) - LW14 - Their only win is against Texas State, who is 1-6 vs Sun Belt teams. If you need more convincng, look at their record.

I missed my prediction by 1 game. Looks like we will finish 11-1, instead of 10-2.:behindsofa:
