Yeah it was a bad pass, which is sad considering the blatant offensive penalty being committed by the lineman blocking in the end zone. They should've scored.

Well, how did you all do with your preseason predictions? I'm not very happy that mine might be worse than I expected....
I'm either going to be depressingly correct - or - awesomely wrong.

Depends what Iowa teams shows up. Since they have no high expectations, are they going 11-1, or even 12-0, out of nowhere, or the average 8 or 9 win season. They actually had a decent recruiting class after they went 12-0 that season. So, maybe.

Week 1 - Northern Illinois - W - I would say Iowa wins by 2-3 TDs
Week 2 - Iowa State - L - ISU wins by a TD or less
Week 3 - UNI - W - Iowa blowout
Week 4 - Wisconsin - L - About the same as last year. Wisconsin dominates but not a total blowout on the scoreboard
Week 5 - Bye Week
Week 6 - at Minnesota - W - by 2-3 TDs
Week 7 - at Indiana - W - by 2-3 TDs
Week 8 - Maryland - W - close game as it will be a trap game. But Iowa's DL will overwhelm the Terps.
Week 9 - at Penn State - L - it might be close, but not as close as last year. Depends how Iowa's offense improves.
Week 10 - at Purdue - W - I think Purdue will be decent but Iowa will prepare for more than 1 WR.
Week 11 - Northwestern - L - I will hate this loss. It will be a close game but I do think NW will be just a little bit better than Iowa.
Week 12 - at Illinois - W - Blowout
Week 13 - Nebraska - W - Frost won't get Iowa right away.

8-4

Team Iowa could upset - Penn State, they will have Michigan the following week. That is a potential upset.

Toss up games - Iowa State, Maryland, Northwestern

I was correct in overall record. I did have 3 of the 4 losses correct. Given Iowa beats Nebraska.

Four of Nebraska's losses were within 5 points. I'll take that for a first year coach coming off a 4-8 season.

Sept 8th: Colorado (28-33) -5
Sept 15th: Troy (19-24) -5
Oct 13th: Northwestern (31-34 OT) -3
Nov 3rd: Ohio St (31-36) -5

Their three losses were bad though. In consecutive weeks between Troy and Northwestern.

Sept 22nd: Michigan (10-56) -46
Sept 29th: Purdue (28-42) -14
Oct 6th: Wisconsin (24-41) -17

My B1G Power Rankings going into CCG

1. Ohio State (11-1, 8-1) - LW 2 - Too bad that the huge upset loss to Purdue will have as much impact as the huge blowout victory against Michigan, which will have a negative affect when compared to some others to the CFP. The CCG will be an interesting matchup with Ohio State who "should" win vs the team that "should" have many more losses.
2. Michigan (10-2, 8-1) - LW 1 - I bet Harbaugh was thinking, "What do I have to do to beat these guys?" The B1G's top offense totally destroyed the B1G's top defense. Not only did it take away their shot at the CFP, they probably won't be seeing Roses.
3. Northwestern (8-4, 8-1) - LW 3 - They might not have won pretty, but they won consistently when playing B1G opponents. Five of their eight B1G wins were by 8 points or closer. They lost to Michigan by 3 and Notre Dame by 10. They are clearly not an easy team to beat. They won 7 of their last 8 games.
4. Penn State (9-3, 5-3) - LW 4 - Winning 5 of their last 6 games, PSU has a shot at having a 10-win win year. Even though Rutgers was a sub-par victory, their win against the Terps this week was dominant.
5. Iowa (8-4, 5-4) - LW 6 - Should Iowa be happy with how they won? No. But they still won. First time they showed they can win in the clutch all season. Just wish they figured it out a little over a month ago.
6. Purdue (7-5, 6-3) - LW 7 - Purdue kept from finishing the season with a 3-loss skid with their 7-point win over Indiana. Best news though is Blough and Moore announced they will be returning for next season.
7. Nebraska (4-8, 3-4) - LW 8 - Yes, Nebraska bumped Wisconsin. The Huskers played very well against Iowa, especially when the rain started pouring. Iowa knows that Nebraska won't be an easy win from here on out, as long as Adrian Martinez is healthy.
8. Michigan State (7-5, 5-4) - LW 9 - The fact that they won kept them up to #8. They have scored only 22 points in the past 3 games, and was super close to the team who only won against Texas State.
9. Minnesota (6-6, 3-6) - LW 11 - The Gophers are probably the most interesting team in the B1G. They got dominated by Nebraska and Illinois but then destroy Purdue by 31 and Wisconsin by 2
10. Wisconsin (7-5, 5-4) - LW 5 - Wisconsin has switched victories and losses over the past two months. So, if we go by odd # of games, they would have more losses until we go back to Iowa game in September. Now, they played tough teams, but they dropped because they lost by 22 to Minnesota. I know this is too low, but they lost to Minnesota by 22.
11. Maryland (5-7, 3-6) - LW 10 - The Terps started 4-2 and finished 1-5. Their season ended with a 4-game losing streak. They took Ohio State into Overtime but was totally dominated by Penn State.
12. Indiana (5-7, 2-7) - LW 12 - They won once in their last 8 games, and that was a 2-point win over Maryland.
13. Illinois (4-8, 2-7) - LW 13 - AJ Bush is a fun QB to watch and Corbin is one of the most under-appreciated RBs in the B1G. However, when you lose 6 of your last 8 games and the opponents score 24+, you are not good.
14. Rutgers (1-11, 0-9) - LW14 - Look at their record. Enough said.

I'm not sure why, but I had this feeling this team would fall apart before the season started. Once they lost to BYU it was over...all kinds of bad shit happened...and they didn't show any heart... basically... we really sucked this year

What the hell happened to your defense? And why can't you guys groom a real QB? It's too bad Taylor's season has been completely overshadowed by the ineptitude of those around him.

Pretty much the entire B1G sucked this year. Michigan was hanging their hats on the supposedly impressive revenge tour wins over Wisconsin, Michigan State, Penn State.... but it turns out those three teams were sub-standard. The only two teams with a pulse that Michigan faced (Notre Dame, Ohio State) were both losses. The Michigan defense was way overrated due to the fact they faced relatively weak offenses.

Lost to many guys off last year's team and dealt with injuries all season. Like I said earlier this was going to end up being one of their worst defenses in the last decade. Probably ended up being their worst.

After Ramsey, it is kind of like draw a name out of a hat. There is only 8 QBs worthy of Top 10. Same with RBs. After DJ Knox, it was kind of a toss up.

I get that, I was half kidding. It gets pretty dicey quickly in B1G once you get down the list. I think Hornibrook stinks and I'd put Morgan ahead of him. His numbers would look better had Annexstad not started earlier in the year

But with that said, it's not exactly outrageous to not put him in there.

attrition finally took their toll. For so many years they've continued to plug and play you just sort of assume it'll keep happening.

I thought the same thing til after the byu game. That was eye opening how they weren't going to be what they were in previous seasons.
