There will be two changes next year in the playoffs. The first one will be that the #1 seed will get to choose which team he wants to play in the 2nd round of the playoffs between the two teams that won in week 1. So he won't be able to choose the other team that got a bye but he can choose between the other two teams. The second change is that there will not be any money paid out for 5th or 6th next year. The losers of the first round game will be put into the consolation bracket and the winner of the consolation bracket will win something. It will look like this in the first round of the playoffs:

Playoffs week 1:

Winners Bracket:

#1 and #2 get a bye
#3 vs. #6
#4 vs. #5

Consolation Bracket:

#11 and #12 are not a part of the consolation bracket
#7 vs. #10
#8 vs. #9

Playoffs week 2:

Winners Bracket:

#1 plays whichever team he wants from the winners of the games week 1
#2 plays the other team

Consolation Bracket:

The best seed from the losers of the round 1 winners bracket game plays the worst seed that won in round one of the consolation bracket.
The worst seed from the loser of the round 1 winners bracket game plays the best seed that won in round one of the consolation bracket.

Playoffs week 3 (Championship week):

Winners Bracket:

The winners of round 2 play each other for the title
The losers of round 2 play for 3rd and 4th place

Consolation bracket:

The winners of the round 2 games play each other for the consolation title.

The first 6 draft picks will already be locked in, so the consolation bracket will have no bearing on the draft order. This will keep more teams engaged until the end of the playoffs. For those in it, it's the same thing I did in the MCU this year and I liked the way it came out.
