All this bitching about the refs, when do you place some blame on Virginia? They had a 12 point lead with under 10 to go.

I hadn't noticed it during the game but I just looked it up and UVA was called for 10 more fouls than Nova. I'm used to PAC-12 refs so basically any other conference I watch has better officiating imo.

lol, officiating during ACC games are generally pretty mediocre. They made the Wake/Duke game atrocious to watch yesterday. Every time Bryant Crawford drove to the hoop, Duke was called for a foul. I'm a Wake fan, but it was pretty ridiculous.

Yeah it looks bad but I just looked at the play by play from ESPN. Since Virginia had a 49-37 lead, Nova hit 4 free throws for the rest of the game. Really can't bitch about the refs when Nova attempted 6 free throws (made 4) in the final 10 minutes down 12 at that point

Not only that, Nova had 2 fouls called against them the whole 2nd half. 20 of their 61 points came from the FT line. The game was gift wrapped for them.

Yeah that was bad. Really difficult to watch. But this game didn't seem as bad. Up 12 with under 10 to go and you lose? Sounds like a lot UVA did wrong then blaming the refs. Especially considering Nova only had 6 free throw attempts from that point on. Blaming the refs for this seems like a real stretch.

This doesn't change that UVA had a 12 point lead with under 10 to go and folded like a cheap tent. In those 10 minutes, Nova only hit 4 free throws. Stop your bitching and place some blame on your basketball team.

I didn't watch a lot of the game.

But i figured when in the first half I saw the 10-1 free throw attempts and the 24-3 attempts in second half that there would be bitching.

The parts I watched saw 1 team driving to the rack...it was the team drawing fouls.
