Deems like a cheap signing, but we traded a 5th for his backup......?
Not sure we made the right move.

I refuse to believe that we will roll out another sh*tty center next season. It is unfathomable to me. There is no way our management could have watched our interior line play the past 2 seasons and decide to ignore the center position AGAIN. Something will happen. Not sure when or who...but for sure will.

Theres no doubt we will get a center......
After seeing a few centers being released, just kinda scratching my head why we gave up a fifth for a backup, especially when Morse was released day after.....kinda dumb if you ask me.

I mean...There's been reports that Bates is potentially our answer at center...but he is also a jack-of-all-trades guy that can play all interior line positions...meaning he can supplant both guard positions as well (which we have had injury troubles at). I usually give a player a benefit of the doubt until I see them play meaningful NFL snaps, but I would be surprised if we stop at Bates for C.

I doubt Bates is our starting center as well.......

I like it......did not overpay in my book.
Not sure I totally understand this move, but he is a very nice speedy back to add to the committee. Can he stay healthy? Well, as long as he isn't the feature back, he might make it through a full season.

Good signing. I was hoping Poles wasn't going to blow a wad on someone like Barkley or Jacobs. But we still need a bonafide WR, DE/Edge, and Center, altho not all necessarily via free agency.
Man....

Stick him at DT and Crosby and Koonce (he came on strong last season) at DE?

That's tough. They all gonna eat.
The Raiders are gonna have one of the league's fiercest pass rushes.

The Raiders were 1st in ppg allowed the last 9 games (after AP took over as head coach basically) and 8th overall on the season.

And with DE/Edge Jonathan Greenard inking with the Vikings, that tells us they're saying buhbye to Danielle Hunter - can the Bears capitalize on this?

I never seen rb coming myself until someone brought it up yestrrday.....

I think thedeal is decent, save a bit of cash rather than paying Barkley or Jacobs, plus I did n9t want Pollard,Ekeler or Henry on top of it.....

Not so sue I read ehere 15 mill is guareanteed.....:noidea:

This I dont wannasee tho:

Not sure if GB is planning to hang onto Aaron Jones - if they do, that will be one helluva RB tandem. Nonetheless, I like the Swift signing. He's compact, strong, fast, and is truly a two-way RB, excelling in both running and receiving. He had a great year with the Eagles, hopefully he'll produce similar results with the Bears.

Well sho nuff, the Pack announced that Jones will be cut. So much for that great 1-2 punch in the backfield.
