I am on the record saying they should have traded Embiid before he broke down, and not pretend like you could add some aging star pieces around him and compete, but now it is too late. The Sixers will have to reap what they have sown. They need to fire the GM, fire the coach, fire everyone but Maxey and McCain, and basically start over. The process failed.

Paul George held to two points against the nets as Sixers lose five straight. The Sixers are lucky the eagles won the Super Bowl because otherwise the city would be talking about what bums Embiid and George are. They’re both finished. Zero gas left in the tank.

Yep. They're not really going to be selling high, but they need should trade Embiid, PG and anyone else that they don't see as part of the future for whatever they can get and build around Maxey.

Fortunately, Maxey is only 24, so if you do the rebuild right, you could build around him fairly quickly.

I said it as well and I was laughed at by most. I know most had good reason to say he wouldn’t be traded bc it wasn’t very realistic at the time but we clearly witnessed his body breaking down. Even at his best he didn’t look right and this summer it looked worse than ever

nope...he's from Toronto.
I know he is Canadian. Doesn’t mean there weren’t Cavs fans cheering too. The entire thing is blown up regardless, it is meaningless.

“A benchwarmer scores at the end the game” - who cares

agree with that last part....but was clearly the Raptor fans cheering the guy (and, sure, could be some relatives from area).

Kind of to your last comment maybe the guy simply knew it was his last game ever in the area, had some friends/family there and wanted to score one more time?

Might not be the right thing to do but whatever.

McCain was having a good rookie season until he got hurt. Those 2 could be a really good backcourt.

Numbers starting to show that the Twolves are a better team when Randle in the lineup.

Been a lot of talk here about what Hunter's role will be here (start or off bench). First thought was once acclimated he would likely start but now I don't think that will be the case. if healthy, I think Strus will remain a starter. atkinson big into analytics and one of the top lineups in the sport this year has been our starting lineup with Strus as a starter. Hunter did really well off bench in Atlanta so may just keep things that way.

Way some talk (again, just talking fans in forums like this...and as we know, many not happy unless complaining) they will lose their shit if Hunter doesn't start. I'm inclined to let the coaches who see them every day go with what they think is best and trust their instincts.
