One day it will all make sense
Additionally by Ron's own words he fouled Ben on purpose to piss him off.
It is
Ben Wallace and the pistons started it
Vernon Maxwell got 10 games for actually throwing a punch
Absurd inflation on the penalty
Ben Wallace started an NBA fight and deserved a suspension.
The fan who threw the beer deserved jail time. So did Artest. Because you can’t run into the stands and attack a random fan because you got hit by a beer.
What's there to figure out? Don't know why people are making this so complicated as Butler has communicated his intentions the entire time. The last 2 to 3 seasons we've seen him want the Heat to trade for another all star. They didn't do it. He said he wanted an extension early, they hesitated. He never openly blasted the team until recently, usually doing no more than other star player does thru media with agent leaks, and then Pat Riley basically told him to shut the fuck up publicly in a press conference. Jimmy was done then and there. Butler and Riley have been giving each other the finger ever since. The Heat were complete dumbasses not trading him in the offseason. They aren't contenders and are delusional if they truly thought that going into the season with largely the same roster. The reason they didn't do the trade was mostly spite. And why wouldn't Jimmy just sit back and play out his contract and do a sign and trade like that complete buffoon Barry Jackson phrased it? Because the new CBA makes sign and trades really hard. The way the CBA is written, it is by far better for a player to force a trade in season than it to hit free agency. He's making the best move for him by the structure of the league rules, one that pretty much any player would.
Pat Riley has had issues with pretty much all his stars towards the end. Shaq, Lebron, even Wade, it didn't end pretty. They all later made up, but there was still friction that caused things to get rocky. This isn't all on Butler. Pat Riley is just as big a stubborn asshole.
He did far less than Maxwell and got 6x the punishment
Patently absurd to suggest anything other than a screw job
1) they hesitated on the extension for multiple reasons. The guy misses 20-30 games per season, wanted a max extension, and only turns into a top player in the playoffs. Jimmy Butler isn’t a top 20 player in the regular season. They were willing to give him an extension but he wanted a max and that made no sense for someone who is never available. Pat made a comment about availability in his end of season press conference which was a direct shot at Herro and Butler. How has Tyler responded to that? By not missing a game this year.
2) the trade crap is bs because it isn’t for a lack of effort. They had the best trade offer for Dame which is clear now but Portland wanted to be spiteful and not trade dame to his preferred team.
3) they’re not dumb asses for not trading him in the offseason because both sides agreed that he would play out the season and revisit in the offseason. Had Jimmy thought it was such a bad idea to play out his contract then he would have requested a trade since June. The Heat loses nothing by keeping him on the roster until the summer because as multiple people stated his contract going off the books will give them flexibility. Jimmy got in his feelings because he heard they were listening to offers for him and this led to him acting like a 5 yr old. I will ask again how does it benefit the heat to accept a shitty trade and take back bad contracts instead of just going their separate ways in the summer and having flexibility
Good article about how the Thunder exploited a big weakness for the Knicks, their bench. 70 bench minutes to 30 for the Knicks is pretty telling.
They had 4 or 5 guys play 40 minutes last night. I know that is playoff basketball but you can’t beat a young team with legs like that.Yeah the Knicks basically need to go all in here
Precious is not a bench guy
Honestly dadiet and kolek should be able to land a decent backup pg or wing (for example)
They also need a backup c since precious is not that either
It’s not easy, but maybe the suns will give up and send them ty Jones in some kind of deal
You asked, boy. I answered. Go take a look.Boy? Now that's a good one. What's wrong, you having another bad here here on the hoop-la? You clown yourself all the time and don't even realize it. It's one of the things that makes you funny.
Jon Gruden was rightBecuase there’s no cap space
He wants his deal now before he has a big fall off
Roberts and tremaglio were woefully incompetent and got rolled
If they did their job this wouldn’t be happening
They are. Who could stop them? Only the league and they don't want to. They only want to cover it up because they're scared of the asset devaluation of their franchises.JB not holding back on refs. This is the kind of shit that makes you feel like refs are betting.
80 percent of money on Detroit, refs proceed to call a wildly one sided game.
A lot of these guys are too dumb to see the players' side in these situations because the teams have highly paid PR departments running witchcraft operations to fool the gullible nba fans. What's there to figure out? Im not a big conspiracy guy but that shit yesterday was atrocious and JB rightly called them out for itThey are. Who could stop them? Only the league and they don't want to. They only want to cover it up because they're scared of the asset devaluation of their franchises.
Isn’t that Thibs MO?Good article about how the Thunder exploited a big weakness for the Knicks, their bench. 70 bench minutes to 30 for the Knicks is pretty telling.
Jon Gruden was right
I didn’t see the game, so obviously don’t know the specifics. But, many times when the Pistons have far fewer fouls it is simply style of play and this has been true against the Hornets many times. Cade does not drive hard all the way to the hoop and Ball does.JB not holding back on refs. This is the kind of shit that makes you feel like refs are betting.
