I hate the Knicks but that roster is built for the playoffs. You have a clear 1-2, several good perimeter defenders, and your 8-9 man rotation.

Brunson is actually doing less than he did last season due to the improvement of the roster

It is because it is NY an will drive action.

Not because they are the 3rd most likely team to win the title.

Knicks are good. But they aren’t the 3rs best team in the league.

And Thibs doesn’t have the track record of playoff success.

Cleveland should be 3.

But I would bet that either OKC or Boston wins this year.

I mean its not a stretch that they are the 3rd most likely team to win the title. They have the 4th fewest losses in basketball and people still aren't sold on cleveland in the playoffs. I have more of a beef with Cleveland being behind Denver than them being behind New York

Also I think Thibs done fine in the playoffs when he had good teams. The 2 best teams he had were the 2011 Bulls ( made the conference finals) and last year Knicks team which would have also made the conference finals if they didn't have all those injuries take place in the playoffs.

I do think someone besides those 2 can win but I would set the odds that one of them win around 50 percent at this point. I’m cautious on the Thunder because I will be surprised if Holmgren is back to full strength at any point. They can make the finals without him as long as nothing else bad happens. Not sure they can beat Boston without him though.

I get NY odds being greater than CLE…it’s whatever but Denver at 4 is ridiculous. Dallas healthy is a dangerous team as well.

There is a reason the Nets are mentioned so many times in the worst trades convo. This is horrible.

Prefer us under the radar but not sure why many would not be sold n THIS Cleveland team if we remain healthy. I mean, we won a round last year without allen and wade for most or all of it....then lost Mitchell in the next round.

I get it. Nobody thinks they are built for the playoffs and/or have enough to beat Boston. It makes sense. I just don’t get the Denver love
does it make sense? Did anyone play Boston better than us last season (including the Western champs)? And we did it with no Allen and then Mitchell. Also no Wade for most of the series (and need him against the Cs). No Levert in last game, as well.

No one credible would say the Cavs have no chance vs the Celtics in the playoffs, but they would be underdogs.

Indiana played Boston much better than anyone else did actually
