According to Marc Stein, the Bulls still want a 1st rounder for Vucevic but aren't getting much of a market for him and may settle for 2nds. I think I'd be willing to offer Rui+JHS and a lottery protected 1st for Vuc.

Rui is younger but much less consistent that Vuc. Plus Vuc can play center when AD sits, something Rui can't really do despite being forced into the role at times. Money and years on contract are basically the same.

Yeah, and I'm a Vuc fan and have wanted to see him on the Lakers for quite a while. Rui has become my favorite player from that trade though.

But Vuc brings more of what the Lakers need. Plus, if Vando and Wood ever come back, the Lakers will have a glut of forwards.

Along with playing center when AD sits, I'm sure JJ will play them together at times which will allow AD to roam defensively. Which he likes to do.
