And the traveling which also has become blatant, is that rampant too? To answer my own question, I believe traveling and palming the ball are becoming more prevalent and blatant, not only in the NBA but filtering down to even young kid's basketball. Plenty of examples.

They absolutely are. Step backs, gather steps, jump stops and Euro steps all have been rule changes to allow traveling and supposedly more interesting plays.

Damn straight, Shopson. One of the many reasons the ratings of the NBA have declined and continue to do so. Many of the players of old are either privately or publically bemoaning these examples of the obvious degradation of the INTEGRITY of the game while shaking their heads. Not a good picture.

On the surface maybe, but ultimately they traded for another max or near max player in AD. They just didn't want to pay Luka specifically. They couldn't see past his visual athletic appearance and off court tendencies. Does that make them anti-Euro? It seems if they had Jokic they wouldn't extend him either. They certainly couldn't read the room in terms of fan favorites.
The supermax they would have had to pay Luka is FAR more than AD has left on his deal, gimme a break

My point is ownership drove this for money reasons, so they made a bad trade. Just not as bad as some say in terms of winning in the next couple of years

You guys and your supposedly qualifying comments afterwards lol. It's like saying "no offense" after a scathing comment.

He's averaging 24/8/8 on 51/37/77 shooting with a 2-1 assist/TO ratio at age 40. Find me another player that has EVER done that. That's arguably better than his career averages of 27/7/7 on 51/35/74 shooting and that same 2-1 ast/TO ratio.

Is he as explosive athletically? Of course not. But he's absolute freak of nature to still be performing at this level into his 40s nearing the most games played ever.
I can’t even get through your entire post cause I don’t know WTF you’re talkin about

Are you responding to some else thinking it’s me

Leflop has a tremendous positive impact on the court for the lakers

I’m totally impressed with his work ethic

He’s not acting like a GOAT , that’s all I’m sayin. That’s it!

Lastly , I would pick MJ over leflop in any era of the game, that’s where it ends!

2 different players who have tremendous skills. MJ was totally focused throughout his career, leflop not so much as we all witness the childish behavior, is he on something, roid rage, who knows…

Of course it's more, but I think if it was a different, more conventional propect they wouldn't have hesitated. There's no way to know, but the character assassination that has come out to justify the trade has been ludicrous.

You have the memory of a goldfish. You just said he makes bonehead plays every game, then said 2nd best ever. EXACTLY what I described.

Roid rage, can you be more foolish?

Prove it. Just more expected lies/bullshit from you.

People have been claiming LeBron's been on steroid since high school. So 25+ years of idiots like you claiming something you know you can't back up.

Then you close your eyes when it comes to LeBron
That’s not fair to say that. I’ve seen the entire body of work for both. in my mind it’s not even as close as some want to make it out to be.

And you have every right to that opinion (that it's not close), it's just not backed by the evidence we all see. There is absolutely nothing wrong with MJ as GOAT, and that's your take and good for you. To say it's not close is beyond absurd for someone who knows the NBA as well as you do. That's the point, we expect idiots like Dorian to say that stuff, not you lol.

Meh, they all flop...a lot. That's why the NBA has adopted rules to try to curb it. They aren't doing that over 1 player.

Lebron catches the amount of flak he does because he's been the face of the league for so long, he's terrible at it, he's too outspoken for some folks, he dares to be in the GOAT convo and the MJ guys are running out of arguments so they default to flopping (even though MJ did plenty of that himself).
When you saw the entirety of both careers no excuses are needed. It’s simple for me, one was a stone cold killer and one was a great athlete that was not a stone cold killer.

Don't forget that he also rolls around on the ground in pain for 45 seconds each time he's fouled.
That's one is silly. The truth is he doesn't get back on defense because he's complaining when he doesn't get a call. Lebron missed drives are becoming frequent transition opportunities.

You're just deflecting because your own team's best player is a top 5 flop artist.

When you saw the entirety of both careers no excuses are needed. It’s simple for me, one was a stone cold killer and one was a great athlete that was not a stone cold killer.

Kobe was a stone colder killer too. He was arguably the 2nd stoniest coldest killer the league has seen...Lebron is better.

Imo, it comes down to 2 questions:

If you have to win 1 game...do you want MJ or Lebron? In that scenario...I want MJ because he'll dunk on his own Grandma to win the game. Lebron is more likely to try to sidestep Grandma. lol

If you're starting a team...do you want MJ or Lebron? In that scenario...I want Lebron because he will make the players around him better. He took arguably, the least talented supporting cast ever to the finals. MJ couldn't get his team to the finals until Pippen emerged.

So, for me, it's kind of a 1a, 1b between the 2.

And fyi, you're not the only one here who saw the entirety of both careers, so that's not the flex you think it is.

It's very fair since that is essentially what you are saying about those who favor Lebron.

I didn't realize he was that level of a hater, I think of idiots like Dorian that way. How a person so dedicated to the NBA can not appreciate LeBron is crazy to me.

People have their opinions. To me it comes down to the fact that twice as much of a lesser player does not top the greatness that I saw.
