I think the severity of James' injury and his present state of healing powers will determine the length of his convalescence. Granted LBJ is in an elite level of condition at his age of 40 but as has already been mentioned, the recuperative healing powers of his body will be somewhat attenuated from when he was in his 20's and 30's. Again, the severity of the injury and his present level of recuperative healing will determine the length of his convalescence. My guess will be closer to 2-4 weeks.

Going forward, I believe Redick will now have to play Reaves, Western Knecht, Goodwin, Milton, Vincent, Vanderbilt, Jemison, and possibly even Reddish more minutes per game. We may even see Kokolo and Bronny more too.

The Lakers are going to have to replace all that Offense James has provided. The Lakers shouldn't have too much trouble against the Nets but they could be in trouble against the Bucks in a couple of days from now.
