You know Lebron takes more contact than most without a whistle.

Way to keep ignoring everything I and others have said about Butler since he got here. But enjoy your take, I'm pretty confident in mine.

It's not zero chance of course, I just don't see it. Good trade for the Ws.I'm not ignoring anything. I'm sure all was hunky dory with Butler at most of his prior stops initially too. It should work with the Warriors, just saying past tendencies have a way of re-emerging.

GSW is every bit the 'model franchise' as Miami, and with a lot more recent titles. To be fair to shopsons point, the Heat are about as stable as a franchise gets...yet it still ended badly.
Having said that...from the GSW perspective...they just need a couple of seasons of "good Jimmy" to try to get a last playoff run or 2 for Steph before they start a rebuild. Jimmy's history suggests that's a good gamble on their part.
You are starting to think about Butler the right way thenGSW is every bit the 'model franchise' as Miami, and with a lot more recent titles.
But yes, good gamble, no real downside with Curry on the last years, it's a long shot they get a title out of this but I do not expect Butler to be a problem for this period.
No he should be fine. I mean right now he is in the honeymoon phase, I’m sure he felt the same about all or most of the other franchises after two weeks. The good thing for GS is he is only under contract for two more years so if he gets to the point where he starts to feel frustrated or complacent he will be off the books in no time.GSW is every bit the 'model franchise' as Miami, and with a lot more recent titles.

The whole thing is tied to Curry and Draymond retiring at the same time Butler's contract ends. I suspect the front office discussed exactly this plan with Curry at least. He will be 39 when this contract is up.No he should be fine. I mean right now he is in the honeymoon phase, I’m sure he felt the same about all or most of the other franchises after two weeks.
