Way to keep ignoring everything I and others have said about Butler since he got here. But enjoy your take, I'm pretty confident in mine.

I'm not ignoring anything. I'm sure all was hunky dory with Butler at most of his prior stops initially too. It should work with the Warriors, just saying past tendencies have a way of re-emerging.

You know Lebron takes more contact than most without a whistle.

Lebron, sure. But my last experience with a Detroit/LA game saw LA called for one foul in the last 17 minutes of the game all the while Detroit dominated paint scoring. So im not exactly picking a side here.

It's not zero chance of course, I just don't see it. Good trade for the Ws.

To be fair to shopsons point, the Heat are about as stable as a franchise gets...yet it still ended badly.

Having said that...from the GSW perspective...they just need a couple of seasons of "good Jimmy" to try to get a last playoff run or 2 for Steph before they start a rebuild. Jimmy's history suggests that's a good gamble on their part.

GSW is every bit the 'model franchise' as Miami, and with a lot more recent titles.

But yes, good gamble, no real downside with Curry on the last years, it's a long shot they get a title out of this but I do not expect Butler to be a problem for this period.

You are starting to think about Butler the right way then

No he should be fine. I mean right now he is in the honeymoon phase, I’m sure he felt the same about all or most of the other franchises after two weeks. The good thing for GS is he is only under contract for two more years so if he gets to the point where he starts to feel frustrated or complacent he will be off the books in no time.

The whole thing is tied to Curry and Draymond retiring at the same time Butler's contract ends. I suspect the front office discussed exactly this plan with Curry at least. He will be 39 when this contract is up.

Then they will have a gazillion $ of cap space if they want to go big signing people for a new run.

I thought they accessed fines based on obvious flops. It looks like he was bumped then he slipped on the floor. I see Brunson flop 5 times a game and nothing about this says, clear flop.

Wow I didn't know this. A 2nd DPOY means supermax eligibility

Still crazy that the NBAPA allowed them to tie NBA players salaries to silly awards voted on by media members who don't even watch all the games.

The people in these lofty positions have lost the plot and are completely incompetent.

Been saying years that the biggest mistake players and their agents make is letting things they can't control be tied to their contracts. They can control how they play...but things like All-Star games, individual awards, etc. are determined by voters who, as you point out, don't watch all the games, may have their own agenda or may be mad at them because the player didn't give them that interview they wanted.

Nothing was decided based on one game but I agree on the silly award part of it.

Hartenstein off the injury report already. I’m assuming they just had been checking him for a concussion last night is why he didn’t play again.

I disagree. He would average 70 ppg and he would win 10 championships in a row

Cmon man. So unrealistic.

If he were playing today he would go 1 on 5 and win championships singlehandledly.

Average at least 125 a game and win DPOY every year.
