If you don't want the league trying to come up with ways to try to get the "real All Stars" to take the game a little more seriously (which is the only reason the rising stars are involved)...take the game a little more seriously.

They just need to give USA vs the world already. I think that’s the way to go. I think this format will be more competitive but USA vs the world in a similar format would be good as well.

Honestly, though, I think as much or more pressure to get to Finals. Don't want to go down round 1.

Could be he just went cold, could be the pressure, could be both.

No one wants to lose in round 1...but there's still more pressure in the finals because the level of competition is higher and the ultimate goal is 1 step away.

Agree. I get why they didn't do it a few years back when it first started being talked about. But the world has caught up enough. I think the USA would have a depth advantage, but it's not so much that the world teams couldn't overcome it.

that would be opinion. Not fact. Mine is as much or more pressure in round 1.

Might he have felt added pressure? Sure....but my guess is just a bad shooting performance like many have had. Likely some seasoned vets.

Boston Celtics. Outside of that there is no real difference. I came to my conclusion by looking at the attempts of the top 5 teams then look at the teams attempts. Only thing that stood out is the Celtics increase in attempts from last season to this

The only way one team can make the league average jump from 35.1 to 37.5 per game is by shooting like 60 more 3s a game themselves. So no it's not 'no real difference' with other teams. The Celtics did make a big jump and were already the leader, probably figure it worked last year lol

Yeah I don't have an issue with it but not a wild opinion by him. could just go to 14 all stars per conference and have 4 teams of 7.

They do need more all star slots IMO, I like this idea

Also I like trying US vs the world, problem there is a couple foreign players might get in that don't deserve it over US ones, to make the teams even

As I have said, KDs response to the new format tells me it could be a very good thing. Hopefully the league is prepared to go even further because these guys are pretty full of themselves.

Depends I think.

More pressure for the favorites in round 1 because of expectations. I think that is what got Lillard yesterday.

More pressure for everyone else in the Finals because you are so close to the crown.
