If legit NBA players don’t want to do the dunk contest anymore, then let’s just go out and get some professional dunkers and make it a good contest again.

Maybe 4 dunkers from outside the NBA and 4 from the league.

Make round 1 more meaningful and advance the top 3 or 4

Would you want one of your teams stars jumping over cars and people for a couple of weeks to practice for a meaningless contest? Ant might be decent at a dunk contest but I don’t want him doing it.

The way the dunks have changed has changed the fact of whether actual players should participate.

The only way to get players to participate fully in All Star festivities is to put All Star weekend AFTER the season.

I'm not 'blaming all the issues on the 3 ball' nor is Draymond. He's correctly noting how the 3 pointer has become far more prevalent over his career, and like many fans it's starting to become boring for him. It's interesting to note that this year has been a huge increase, 2020-2025 it barely rose at all.

If you don't want the league trying to come up with ways to try to get the "real All Stars" to take the game a little more seriously (which is the only reason the rising stars are involved)...take the game a little more seriously.

Honestly, though, I think as much or more pressure to get to Finals. Don't want to go down round 1.
