The place was electric. It was said the crowd was the earliest arriving crowd ever to watch Chet warm up

Niang was supposedly an amazing clubhouse guy.

I am sad to see him and LeVert go- especially because I felt this team earned a chance to make a run with how they played.

On paper I love the Hunter deal. We will see if it works in practically. I think it likely will but nothing is guaranteed- sometimes the right mix is really important.
all true but to get what appears to be the better player AND get below the tax? Had to do it.

That's a wild betting line. OKC is really good but spreads like that are pretty rare, aren't they?
ours was 18 last night. +900 ML and yes those are rare.

admittedly put a few bucks on washington...never thought I'd win, but looked possible for a little bit. Glad I didn't.

They would have to go like 8-23 the last 31 games to go for bottom 8 worst records. Not likely. They are likely a play-in team
Yep, Philly isn't that bad. Think they end up being the 8 or 9 seed in the play-in .

I was talking about the Clippers. Philly could go .500 and be a borderline bottom 6 team…yes, likely in the play-in bc Chicago will likey tank

D-Lo back to the Lakers in a buyout? lol

Former Laker Listed as Buyout Candidate Following Trade Deadline

Of course, lakers will get what they want…whatever it takes.

Do they need another guard? Wouldn’t hurt coming off the bench

The Lakers won't be able to sign Russell if he were bought out. He had a pre-existing contract larger than 12.8 mill.

Boston
Denver
LAL
Milw
Minny
NY
Phoenix are all teams that cannot add a player that was over the MLE basically.

Don't see it happening. He would likely be too expensive.

But would be funny if it did.

Agree that he wouldn't hurt coming off the bench though.

Even if it were doable with the cap...would it even be allowable with them having just traded him this season?

If Seth Curry gets bought out? He could be available for the Lakers and he is a decent backup SG option for 12mpg or so.

He is making 46.4% of his treys this season.

Charlotte's Josh Okogie is another interesting option....he is just 26 and can play some defense.

If memory serves, there was a move the Lakers could make (I believe by waiving someone?) that could clear enough space. Also don't remember if it just cleared up to the $12.8 million or if cleared more.

This was also before the Doncic trade too when they were talking about getting another big so AD could play the 4. So the Doncic trade may have changed that as well.

Might be time for some chicken, guac, shredded cheese, and hot sauce burritos followed by a nap.
