He just increased their chances of competing with OKC with AD, Lively and Gafford....

He could have gotten more but he wants to win in the next 3-4 years and isn't worried about 10 years out. A lot of GM's think about 4-5 years from now and not the present.

Bigs was never an issue for Dallas. They also just beat okc 3 of 4 in the regular season series this year.

Luka and Kyrie played 1 full year together and made it to the finals. Most on here including @thunderc himself agreed that Dallas team as long as they stayed healthy enough was the hardest competition for okc in the west this season. There was actually no reason to make the trade this season

charlotte got a good haul for a guy who can barely stay healthy, but there's huge upside there IMO.

Now they are back to needing a center after having 2 starting caliber centers on the roster. I just would have kept Richards if this was a possibility

they're so far away it doesn't really matter IMO.

they'll probably trade Lamelo this summer.

They should be angling with hou to get that phoenix future.

Nico Harrison had 3 clear options before he did what he did.

1) Don’t trade Luka

2) Let the rest of the nba know Luka is available

3) If you did only want to trade with the Lakers then how about you not take the first offer? Tell them to add the 2031 pick as well and shit throw dalton in there for good measure since he was available

This how I know he’s a clown. Soon as Rob declined to include both 1st rounders then I would have told Rob “no problem I will inform the rest of the league that Luka is available”

You would see how fast Rob included that 2031 first round pick
