Well that was an absolute shit offensive performance. Yikes. Awful 1st half but it is one game. They fought.

They have this flopping rule in place but never use it
Yep....while we fought and have come back from those deficits the bad shooting early in game too much to overcome.

And, yes, give Cs credit....every time got it down to 6 or so they pushed it back over 10.

Trade also drops the Bucks below the 2nd apron, which alllows them to aggregate salaries in any more trades today and tomorrow.

A bigs trade may be next.
I Hope Please GIF

When you admit you didn’t talk to anyone else I think it’s pretty obvious you could have got more.
Cool....but can you even make up a fake deal that was better that made sense?

FYI, also rumors there were other offers.

We are just so used to seeing the every pick available deals from franchises heading in opposite directions. Can’t really compare the AD deal to those structures.

Not what Dallas wanted.

But hypothetically?

What about something like this:

Luka to Houston for Jalen Green, Adams, Sheppard, whatever other contract needs to be added to make it work and and all the 1sts Houston has.

I think Houston is probably down for a deal like that.

And that would be the type of trade package we would expect to see for Luka in the modern NBA

And then Dallas says make it Shingoon instead of Adams and you have a deal. And even then Houston likely says ok.

I don’t know.

They have some nice picks.

Really only makes sense for Houston if they keep Sengun and Thompson

Anyone else could go though

You seem to have missed something.

AD was who they wanted. They had already approached them several times over the years and were always rejected because the Lakers wouldn't do it without getting Luka. There was no bidding war because they didn't want anyone else.

They only could have gotten more from the Lakers

I mean even a trade that seemed realistic to all of us when we thought he was untouchable seemed unrealistic.

In the Houston scenario, they are definitely including Green, salary and at least all of their picks + swaps for the next decade. I would add a young player to the return too. Pick one and see how far Houston would go. At this point I would think the only guy they want to keep is Amen

So they were stubborn? Got it.

Cuban wasn’t stubborn. Man, I miss that guy

it is A trade but is it better (for Dallas)? I know you realize how good AD still is and not some crazy notion they think he'd be the much better fit. agree because of Green's age better for down road, but Dallas I think wants to try and win now.
