I don't remember what else (draft picks, etc.) they suggested could be involved...but the meat of the trade was Rui Hachimura for Darius Garland.

Premise was that the Cavs need a forward with some size like Rui and the Lakers need a playmaking guard like Garland.

Thoughts?

Kinda tricky on this one! Is DLO going too, because I don't see either of them wanting to come off the bench. Plus it would only really make sense if Vando was close to coming back to take Rui's spot in the starting line up.

And LA isn't giving up Reaves either.

Not sure. I don't remember what/who was involved. They basically said that bringing Rui addresses the Cavs need for a forward with some size, addresses the Mitchell/Garland redundancy and gives the Lakers a playmaking guard.
