Spo is one a very small minority who isn’t afraid to bench his best player.

Personally, I think it is bad practice unless they are hurt.

I don’t care how good a lineup is playing, I promise you the opposing coach would rather see Jovic and Ware than Bam down the stretch.

They were down 20 entering the 4th and 18 with under 5 to go. There was never a reason to bring back in bam last night. Had they cut that 20 point lead down to 10 or so with 6 or 7 to go then I think he would have went back to bam

Because they 1 you are getting could end up being a franchise changing talent and the 3 giving up are likely to be in the 20s.

Kind of move that makes sense when you run a team in a market like Utah.

I love the idea of getting distant firsts from teams trying to contend now with aging cores.

Yeah makes perfect sense. Cavs have a good chance of still being good to really good by the time they get to even the 3rd pick of ours that they have. Garland and Mobley will still be under 30. Mitchell well into 30s but likely still serviceable. allen only 32ish.

Isn't to say all still here but could be what Utah is thinking.
