Several of us have told you they going to have to do something with all of those picks they have stockpiled.

#Facts
Well I certainly didn’t need anyone to tell me that, and Presti has already started using them the last 2 drafts.

How dare you question The Process!

:behindsofa:

That Sixers 1st round pick this year looks pretty shiny right now. It’s 1-6 protected but right now they are sitting at 8.

It gets better

They got horford with that pick

Then flipped him to bos for a first

Who they flipped to hou for 2 future firsts

Suns downgrading the picks they have to keep per the Stepien rule to try to add old Jimmy Butler and give him the extension he wants. This team is going to crash hard as Butler and Durant hit their inevitable declines, smart move by Utah.

You need to make sure the Suns really give something up

Those picks are likely going to whichever team is eating Beal's contract (or eating other contracts to enable the Bucks to take in Beal, which is a rumored destination). It won't be those picks they just got from Utah though, it will their own picks freed up from the Stepien rule by acquiring those picks from Utah.

Milwaukee would have to deal Middleton I think. And who is trading for Middleton?

I think they need to dump Connaughton somewhere to get under the 2nd apron so they can send multiple pieces to Miami.

You haven't been following this whole Butler/Beal trade rumor cycle?

Beal has said he'd only waive his no trade clause if he was going to a team that's a contender. The only team that's shown so far to have an interest in actually taking Beal's god awful deal is the Bucks. The rumors have been a 3 or 4 team deal with Phx/Mia/Mil/4th team that's under the cap to take salary dumps (Toronto, Detroit, etc). But none of that was likely because Phoenix had 1 first round pick. That's not enough to do a deal because Miami is gonna want draft compensation, the Bucks likely want draft compensation to take Beal's horrible contract, and the 4th team probably wants something too. Now Phoenix has the draft capital to make this deal. In this case, Middleton would likely end up in Miami. Sure, he's basically cooked at this point with his age and injuries, but that doesn't matter to Miami because it saves them money (contract expires next year) and they're getting other stuff and finally getting out from Jimmy.

The thing that makes no sense in all of this is why the Bucks would want Beal anyway. I can't stress enough how horrible that contract is but setting that aside, a Dame/Beal backcourt is just gross defensively. In this deal, they'd likely be losing Connaughton, Portis, and Middleton so they'd be left with Giannis, a terrible defensive backcourt that's getting old, and old man Brook Lopez. That's just begging for Giannis to ask for a trade in 2 years. It's a terrible fit but all the rumors keep saying the Bucks are high on Beal so :noidea: Let them hang themselves I guess

2 years seems like a good time for the Lakers to get Giannis then?

Ware and Jovic were playing ahead of Bam down the stretch.

I found that very interesting.

Went with the group that made it a game. They were getting smacked by a bad team Portland team

Spo is one a very small minority who isn’t afraid to bench his best player.

Personally, I think it is bad practice unless they are hurt.

I don’t care how good a lineup is playing, I promise you the opposing coach would rather see Jovic and Ware than Bam down the stretch.

Bam has been dinged up of late, correct? I know he had been questionable for the recent Lakers game.
