Thankfully not your decision

I don't see a universe where Stew is traded and they dont get someone back at C on his level or better.

They have Duren, who is better at about 30 minutes, they dont want Reed playing 18 mins a game.

Everything ive read on Detroit is they are more likely to buy than sell off. That may mean taking on a meh deal for picks though.

We have a lot to give, but Presti will use voodoo magic not to give up much
Trajan just moved from New Orleans. He is used to dealing with Voodoo

Of the names I’ve seen mentioned the one I like the most is Isaiah Stewart. I think he would be a good fit and could find a few minutes even after Chet and Hartenstein are back.

Seems like an overpay for a depth big. He deserves a bigger role IMO.

I'd like him with the Lakers, but there's no trade that makes sense for both.

He's the first draft pick that they re-signed in ages before Cade's deal last summer and he is far out playing the team friendly deal they inked. It would take a lot to get him traded or for Duren to show a lot more development than he has so far shown. I would be shocked if he was part of any deal this season.

The biggest issue was the Westbrook trade. His stars wanted him though and Pelinka capitulated. Every move since then has been trying to recover from that trade.

He made moves that led to the 2020 title and was said to have actually improved a title team with the moves he made after that season. Problem was...injuries hit.

Vando being out with injuries and Beasley being damn near unplayable, aren't on Pelinka.

No, but that trade could've skipped DLo and netted the pcs that went to the Wolves instead (Alexander-Walker and Conley). A lot of their headaches over the past year+ could've been averted.

He also had that terrible habit of limiting 2nd round picks and UDFAs to 2 year contracts, necessitating paying them a year earlier than necessary (Reaves. Christie). Then there's the player options debacle, giving them to league min players and choking out any offseason moves this summer when they all picked up those options to stay. He's seems underinformed on how to do his job overall, makes a lot of mistakes in the details.

He makes Duren available in the right trade also. Its going to be interesting to see what they do, theyre going to at minimum take on a contract for picks

At this point I want players more than I want picks. We have young potential already.

Agree. Would much rather they leverage that cap for a swing at improving the team. The obvious trade candidates being Harris and THJ or potentially Ivey in the right deal.

If they are 17 and 33 do they just sit Embiid and tank it out?
If he doesn’t sit bc he is hurt for another extended time, I would. At this point, I would have no confidence in him staying healthy for the rest of his career. They are paying him in 28-29 which is so crazy
