Why did you watch?
Who said I did?

And so what if I did? You a front runner who only watches when they win?

I said Heat looked like they would win and I was right. So what? It’s just another NBA game in January.

No but if I quit on my team with 9 minutes left in the 2nd as you did, I would hope you would find a better way to spend your night so for your sake I hope you didn’t watch.

Exactly why I said no one behind those 3 named and maybe Christie should be off limits

They’re a roster of terrible defenders

They should try to keep Reaves. He's a legit good player despite lackluster defense. But the team is saying they are reluctant to trade Rui which is just downright stupid. Ship his ass out yesterday. This team has no rebounding or interior players outside of AD. Every "center" is complete ass. Rui can shoot 3s but that's it. He is soft as shit as a PF and is allergic to rebounds. The Bulls are reportedly struggling to move Nik Vucevic because no one wants to trade a 1st for him on that contract (2 years left, 20+mil). Send them Rui and filler (JHS) and a lottery protected 1st. He ain't anything special defensively either but at least he can rebound, which is like half of LA's defensive problems.

How did I quit on anything? I made an observation. Felt like a loss. Would’ve been great to be wrong. You are really uptight about this stuff.

without Kuminga you can see the lack of high-end athleticism on the Warriors very starkly.

Lakers better not take tonight's game lightly and screw up this opportunity.

Lakers gonna Laker. First game I've turned off before it was over and quite a while. Disgusting lack of effort and focus.

I’m not saying dump reaves

I’m just saying that guard defense is one of the bigger indications of playoff success (any the Celtics traded for jrue and white)

The lakers have none unless consider Christie a 2

The real issues there are two fold:

1) his contract js cheap enough it’s hard to find an upgrade; ans

2) not many pgs are available, their best bet would be the suns giving in to reality and getting Jones ( not for reaves just in general)

They can land 2-3 defensive minded role players (like theybretooled the roster the rui trade year) they can make a legit finals run like Dallas last year

He only wants Phoenix because that's the only team willing to give him the max deal he is seeking. I wouldn't mind Ingram for the remainder of the season. Jimmy should get in shape because the Heat got a big one next friday night

What about a Knicks trade for Anouby and Robinson? Would need a third team to take a small salary to make it work since both teams can't take back more money.

Chicago for LaVine?

Jones doesn't defend either really. If they have defense on the floor with him, Reaves is fine (so long as they stop switching EVERYTHING like they tend to do).

Two targets (one expensive, one affordable): Dejounte Murray and Jalen Carter. Really cheap flier would be to clear a roster spot and sign Dennis Smith Jr (wouldn't mind doing that in addition to one of the other two also). Murray likely requires at least 1 first, Rui and Gabe to match salaries, leaving the cupboard bare to improve elsewhere). Carter might require a 2nd and matching salary (Carter/Craig for Gabe perhaps, or JHS/Wood for Carter alone).

Lakers also desperately need a backup center. Sideshow Bob needs to go, he's simply awful. Clearing a roster spot to promote Koloko would be the cheapest path, but they really need a big bodied guy. I wouldn't mind Sharpe from the Nets, but he's only 6'9 and is more of a Koloko alternative than a big body.

C'mon Danny, trade Kessler. Nothing says LA more than having a Miss America girlfriend lol.

Kessler the perfect fit but leaves you with few other assets to deal

He’s a defensive monster

that a BAD loss by the Lakers. No Doncic, no Kyrie....LeBron and Davis healthy- DFS doing what he should do- hitting some 3's at a high rate.

Is the Lakers defense really that bad?

The Lakers effort/focus is that bad. Defense comes and goes as a result.

I'm fine with filling the other spots on the cheap. They have two 2nds left to trade.

Supposedly Danny is hedging because trading Kessler to the Lakers might worsen the post-Lebron picks they trade for him. That and he's trying to drive up the price of course.

DFS stays. He can't be aggregated anyway, but he had the only positive +/- last night. He's had the best +/- on the team (or close to it) nearly every night since the trade. More players like him please.

Lakers have wanted Bruce Brown for a while, but he's JUST getting back to playing. Would be an ideal backcourt defender addition. Maybe a Brown/Poetl package? Would take Rui/Gabe and filler and at least 1 first.
