Since winning the Cup, Bucks are 1-4 and have lost to the Nets twice and also the Blazers.

Lakers went into the tank after winning the Cup last year.

I've seen enough. The NBA Cup is cursed

Or maybe Darvin Ham is

Well, they are looking for a true point guard and a bigger, more physical back-up Center who plays D and scores between 8-15 points when he plays. So Jimmy doesn't fit on a number of levels.

I don’t think Jimmy fits.

Pushing back on the idea that the Lakers are choosing to develop young talent over trying to win with LeBron and AD.

That is not the case.

The Lakers just aren’t very deep, so some of the young guys are going to be in the rotation no matter what they do.

They need his wing d

And they need alot of perimeter d

But they need spacing

Right now they need to rely on gabe Vincent finding his playoff form like with Miami (and why they gave him that craze contract)

They also need someone who can guard 3s next to Lebron

Their d is awful

I don’t think anyone besides bron brow and dfs should be off the table

Everyone besides Christie is a sieve on d and expendable in the right move

They need shooting over defense. They were like bottom third in defense most of the year. The last 10 games or so they are top 3

Christie has made a leap and they got dfs

Those are huge

They need to find another switchable c to play as well

Their pg d is bad and they overrate reaves

He’s fine but tradeable in the right deal

They need a big man and Reaves is pretty bad defensive. Limited assets until Pelinka wants to give up picks. Maybe if he gave up picks years ago this would be a different story. He has been preparing for that rebuild for years now

They need wing D.

They don’t need Butler’s wing D.

What salary you putting in there to make the cap work?

Whats the ask at this point is the question

He's clearly tanked his value

Yep, because of that, I'll be a little surprised if he actually gets traded.

For one, teams will probably want a sign and trade or some kind of guarantee that he'll re-sign with them.

Plus, if I understood what I read correctly, financially speaking, they might be better off just letting him walk after the season.

Miami's going to ask for a big return that teams may not want to give up because they're getting a guy who's forcing his way off of his 2nd team and it's a team with a competitive roster, an HoF HC and a competent FO that has shown they will make moves to try to contend. Contending teams won't want to risk him setting fire to the locker room if he decides he's "lost his joy".

Yeah, the defense has improved and should get even better if they ever get Vando back.

Offensively, outside of Lebron, AD and maybe Reaves, they don't have anyone that you have to game plan for, especially on the perimeter.

The issue is Miami is going to want something of value in return and contending teams are renting Jimmy for half a year. Unless Miami relents and effectively dumps salary I dont see a trade working where both sides are happy.

I’m also not sure there’s a max deal on the open market right now

Like harden bell end up opting

Screwed over because some incompetent bozos got run over at the bargaining table
