Looks like a platoon in LF with Grossmans and TBA likely Miller. Move does not bode well with Smith and Duran. They may get more grooming in AAA
Looks like it’s a waste of money to me. Bubba played well enough for being called up late last year. Miller was terrible. Grossman hasn’t hit above 241 in the last 4 seasons. And he’s 33. Bubba will get to balls that Grossman wishes he could get too. He’s going to be another Calhoun.Looks like a platoon in LF with Grossmans and TBA likely Miller. It makes very little sense.Looks like it’s a waste of money to me. Bubba played well enough for being called up late last year. Miller was terrible. I agree. Reminds me of what we were doing the past few years.Looks like it’s a waste of money to me. Bubba played well enough for being called up late last year. Miller was terrible. Word is it was thought to be an aberration.Miller was awful against RH last year too. He has to be a bench player on the team I would think.
I didn't even think he deserved to be rostered heading into Rule 5, myself.Word is it was thought to be an aberration.
Yeah it definitely looks like Bubba gets less playing time unless but maybe he competes for CF
So a great start to the offseason signing SP and then we punt the Rule and the they dont do anything to fix the BP. They dont add a LF bat with power and then they add a scrub like Grossman to go with the scrub they already have in Miller, both of which are wastes of roster spots or playing time for young guys. If you aren't gonna grab a proven legit LF bat, then let the young guys play and find out if any of them can be counted on going forward.
This FO is downright frustrating sometimes.....there are good moves and then there are moves that are dumb as shit

He has trended worse three years straight. That doesn't seem like an aberration.
His OPS has went down 3 years in a row. The drop was more this year, but then he was further past 30 this year too. I see mother nature taking her course more than I see an aberration.Brad Miller Stats, Height, Weight, Position, Rookie Status & More | Baseball-Reference.com

You may be mistaken. If he is around 800 OPS then I can see the rationale despite obvious better fielding and running from Bubba or even Smith.
I would rather se the development and pick ups someone at the break if in contention and yes would have picked up a closer
But I can see that last year was his worst in a while. Not sure why you said no aberration
To me we do not need Grossman or Miller, not on major league deals anyway.Brad Miller Stats, Height, Weight, Position, Rookie Status & More | Baseball-Reference.com

How about a little context. I am definitely not the captain of the Brad M fan club and he had a terrible year overall misnus a good startHis OPS has went down 3 years in a row.
