No More "Bullpen Failure"
History shows a lot of guys were better before they got to be 33. It shows that some guys decline by that age while a handful like Beltre are good for a few more years. It also shows that many decline by a great margin very rapidly. I don't mind Miller being a backup to several positions, but I don't want him robbing younger guys of opportunities with his aging, spare self. He needs to be a bench guy.If you say the book is still out on the young guys and would rather see them at the MLB level then I get that but history shows Miller to better in a platoon.
