If this turns out to be true, to me it makes sense as both Kennedy and Smith can close when LeClerc is not available. Plus they are vets which I’m guessing Bochy favors. Sborz or King taking the mound, No thanks.

Personally I don't have a problem with what he did because it had the possibility of making somewhat more sense than some other things I've seen discussed ad nauseam. And then those discussing it got so upset with each other even though it had no chance of ever happening...
Yeah, but there is a difference between saying "I think these two teams have a good fit here," and saying, "the Rangers have interest in Donaldson." Spitballing and pretending to know something when the guy just made it up are a lot different.
I think overall ST stats are only used to backup preconceived ideas in most cases. Every once in awhile someone does so well it cannot be ignored, but usually good ST stats and bad ones can be explained away.
