I still like an OF of Smith, Garcia and Grossman with Duran at DH.

I wish they would prize Zeke enough to give him a regular spot

Yeah, they probably should have signed 2 relief pitchers instead of Heaney.

They should have signed two relief pitchers on top of Heaney....that way they could have some of these extra SP arms at AAA for when these guys are hurt. I am getting real tired of seeing this organization not do a damn thing as far as the BP is concerned every year.

This year it especially makes no sense to go out and try to sure up the SP and do nothing about the BP that stunk it up last year in 1 run games. It has to be obvious to everyone including Ray Charles that the approach to constructing a strong BP, has never worked the way they continue to try it.......just facking dumb

If they would trade Garver, he would have the DH spot and then help Smith back up in several spots. Like last year guys like Miller and Garver may be getting im the way of progress.

I can't imagine how bad he would have to be before they took his rotation spot from him.
I am thinking if is a tender arm and he is not really ramped up then he can be a high leverage relief if SP is covered. Total spitballing as well as just thinking out loud.
Just not very confident with relief staff. Hearn looked lousy today and King does not impress. There is a spot open for sure. Also Burke has had a rough spring

Yes but Miller has 2 recent homers. Garver hit today sounded good.

But absolutely we should not lose out on Duran. And Smith. Needs another look see

I wouldn't mind Miller if he was strictly a backup.

Opening Day never gets old for deGrom: 'It's a huge honor'

"deGrom will be the first Opening Day starter in Rangers history to take the mound after having won multiple Cy Young Awards, and just the third Texas pitcher to start on Opening Day after having won one at all, joining Fergie Jenkins (National League Cy Young in 1971) and Gaylord Perry (American League Cy Young in ‘72)."

I am afraid since they have waited to do anything with Garver that he may not have any value if he has a bad first half.

I was hoping that we could trade him at the deadline but if he swings the bat the way he has in ST, he won't fetch a package of Big League Chew which may be fine as well but if they would just cut him loose and let the young guys play to start the season that might be best

IMO if we are looking for a WC/WS, Miller and Garver are not going to meet our needs.

One would think Bochy Maddux and CY would figure it out and maybe in time they will.
