SGA certainly is and sorry but a lot of people would agree that both Chet and Jbub are going to be there, and soon. Talent wise Jdub is there, he just has to wait for enough to see it.
Both would have to progress at a ridiculously high rate to be top 25-30 players next season. Even 2 seasons, it is extremely difficult for a team to have 3 top 25 guys on one time-like I said-only one ball.

The only current team that has decent case of this is PHX but I do not believe Beal is a top 25-30 player

Debateable

Giannis
Embiid
Jokic

Still think people take the following over SGA:
Luka
Curry
Tatum

Think he is about 7 or 8
Of course you take all 6 of those guys over SGA. They led a team deep in the playoffs and had multiple seasons of being elite.
Playoffs matter. Curry and Luka are no-brainers.

There is no debate

I think you can also put KD over him as well

Chet is far more likely to be that guy that makes that jump.

I think Klay is a much more fair comparison for Jalen and again...if he can even be that the Thunder will be a handful for a long time.

yea he has to perform in the playoffs to raise his overall perception to those heights as an overall top 5 guy.

If we redrafted the whole league SGA easily goes top 5.
No doubt but that is bc of age. Young stars on rookie contracts would go higher than guys like KD or Steph bc of contract and age

I wonder who goes #1 considering contract and age. Probably Wemby

I tend to agree.

6ers aren’t that far off with what Maxey is becoming.

Just have to ride or die and maximize the Embiid window until it closes for good.
Pretty similar to the Warriors and Curry. Most know they probably won't win again with him as the main guy, one idea would be to trade him and get a haul and reset for the future. But that's just wrong. When you have your all time great level talent you just hope you can cash in with them.

Yeah but I think this is a different cases. Steph is a lifetime Warrior bc he brought multiple championships to GS. If anything they sell everyone else and try to build around him for one last run. Embiid hasn’t had that success in the playoffs and it isn’t all his fault. The plan would be try to win that first ring in the next couple years or sell high.

I would be shocked if Embiid played his entire career in Philly unless he wins a championship. I would also be shocked if Curry is not a lifetime Warrior.

That is total BS. You don’t know what you are talking about here.

Why don’t you research that injury a little bit.

People can sometimes play through partial tears without missing much time.

But more complete tears require surgery and a time frame of months, not weeks.

You are wrong.
I learned when it happened to Sexton and they said he's out for a year. Thought what he did and seemed really excessive. Granted was going by my own meniscus surgery to think 1-2 months seemed more like it

But you are correct.....definitely different levels and full tear can be a long time if that's what he has.

The Stepien rule needs to go. It's 2024 not 1980.
It really is obsolete....I mean, stepien was dealing picks that were going to be at worse top 7-8 (likely top 3-5) for guys like Jerome Whitehead, Mike Braatz, etc. No team is making deals like this now.

A guy they never should’ve had

Milwaukee should’ve been contracted for taking Jabari “too slow to stay in front of my grandmother” Parker over embiid

Had embiid not gotten hurt at Kansas he goes 1-1, and so much so that he wouldn’t be a part of a Kevin love trade
Latter depends on what Lebron wanted in order to come here.
