Agree to disagree, I would welcome any comparisons between the 2 at this point in their careers.

I've made it clear I'm a big fan of on off. The difference with Jalen on the court versus Kawhi in year 2 is favored to Kawhi by a factor of 3.

Now by no means am I saying it's that kind of difference but on a finals team Kawhi was that big of a difference.

It's not like J dub is taking 8 3s a game and shooting 45 percent. That is clearly an outlier and helped along by the team he's on. He's a very good shooter.

But if he was the alpha what's that look like.

But for his role on the Thunder he's been amazing.

Oh trust me, when the other team goes on a run in the 4th the ball gets put in his hands and he flips that alpha switch. It’s there.

Yeah calling jdub and Chet soon to be superstars is wild considering there is only about 10 of those
Yup, it’s just me. No national people at all are saying it, none.

You never really know until a player is a #1 option at least for a stretch. Even then you really don’t know but in OKC’s case, he might never reach his potential since he won’t be a #1 all the time. Now that doesn’t mean he can’t be a great fit and a great #2 option. For example, Klay. That being said, Klay always had question marks he would not lead a team to success being a #1 option. So I guess for OKC success this doesn’t need to happen.
So hard to compare to Kawhi bc eventually when the Big 3 left SA he became the true #1 and we found out his true potential.
A guy that can prove he is a #1 is Maxey this season.

But the stats tell a different story

what stats?

He takes way more shots and is on the floor more. Kawhi is clearly the better rebounder. he shot 39 from 3 in the playoffs when the lights were bright and is clearly the better defender by a substantial margin.

I will give Jalen being the better passer at this stage.

Wake me up when he shoots 40 percent in the playoffs and he makes the kind of impact on the floor that Kawhi did.

At this stage this is an absurd discussion lol.

The stats show his impact is still half a bridges
Not at the same point in Bridges career they don’t. You guys are going to get to watch him plenty, you won’t need me to see it.

almost impossible for multiple guys to reach superstar levels on the same team for the simple fact there is only one ball. They can still be stars and a great fit for the team which is more important in the grand scheme anyway

All 3 are max guys without question. Doesn’t make them superstars but it’s something the Thunder have to deal with.

lol, so why .500 record?

Don’t care how old leflop is , he’s in better shape than most youngsters in league.

Even breen noticed his extra enthusiasm playin at MSG , so you tellin me if he took the same approach vs the others you still be sittin at .500?
James isn't the reason we are a little over .500....

Haven't seen one national person call Jdub a superstar lol wtf are you talking about

Chet? Yeah they mentioned his potential but superstar is not a word we use loosely. It requires you to be a top 10 player so Thunder will have 3 top 10 players within the next year or 2? SURE BUD

I’ve said 2 top 15 players, that’s not far away.

Can they make the AS game first before we use the word superstar?
I have never said they have 3 superstars right now, people read what they want though. Of course all of this is Thunder hype anyway so it doesn’t matter.
