what stats?

He takes way more shots and is on the floor more. Kawhi is clearly the better rebounder. he shot 39 from 3 in the playoffs when the lights were bright and is clearly the better defender by a substantial margin.

I will give Jalen being the better passer at this stage.

Wake me up when he shoots 40 percent in the playoffs and he makes the kind of impact on the floor that Kawhi did.

At this stage this is an absurd discussion lol.
Yeah we have to see this team in the playoffs for multiple seasons before we see who they are as a team for the future. Also, players progress differently. No point in calling them superstars at this point. It’s just a pipeline dream.
I mean Mobley has flashes of being a superstar (like last night) but it is not realistic. Realistic is being a great defensive player and multiple time all-star on a contending team while being a 3rd option. JWill as long as SGA is on the team will always be at best a #2-it is fine-he can be a Klay. Klay was never a superstar. He had glimpses but even then that is a special case. 2nd best shooter of all-time

You never really know until a player is a #1 option at least for a stretch. Even then you really don’t know but in OKC’s case, he might never reach his potential since he won’t be a #1 all the time. Now that doesn’t mean he can’t be a great fit and a great #2 option. For example, Klay. That being said, Klay always had question marks he would not lead a team to success being a #1 option. So I guess for OKC success this doesn’t need to happen.
So hard to compare to Kawhi bc eventually when the Big 3 left SA he became the true #1 and we found out his true potential.
A guy that can prove he is a #1 is Maxey this season.

No doubt which is why this convo is way early.

We saw Kawhi lead Toronto to a title. If J Dub becomes that....the Thunder would be absolutely ridiculous.

That's an insanely high bar. We are talking a top 30ish all time player.

Neither are top 15 players yet and won't be top 15 entering next season either
SGA certainly is and sorry but a lot of people would agree that both Chet and Jbub are going to be there, and soon. Talent wise Jdub is there, he just has to wait for enough to see it.

lol, so why .500 record?

Don’t care how old leflop is , he’s in better shape than most youngsters in league.

Even breen noticed his extra enthusiasm playin at MSG , so you tellin me if he took the same approach vs the others you still be sittin at .500?

My goodness what's wrong with you, are you related to wiggy?

So LeBron's the reason the Lakers are right around .500.

Well with that kinda stupid logic does that mean Steph is the reason the Warriors are 4 games under .500?

Just checking to see how rational you are.

I'm not talking about SGA. He is a top 10 player

Focus on the other 2

Before today all I’ve done is put out stats on the Thunder. People want hype though so here it comes.

James isn't the reason we are a little over .500....

SMH.

Cmon man , he calls all the shots ! No pun intended.

The team , the league . He has say in everything . He even poroduced and directed the last all star events.

you can’t be serious..

Debateable

Giannis
Embiid
Jokic

Still think people take the following over SGA:
Luka
Curry
Tatum

Think he is about 7 or 8
Everything is debateable.

Haven't seen one national person call Jdub a superstar lol wtf are you talking about

Chet? Yeah they mentioned his potential but superstar is not a word we use loosely. It requires you to be a top 10 player so Thunder will have 3 top 10 players within the next year or 2? SURE BUD
It is extremely rare and OKC has been in that case once before. Russ and KD. There have been very few cases for multiple SS’s on the same team without a trade or FA. Through the draft, very unlikely.

Like you said, superstar is a term we use lightly

KD-Steph - KD acquired through FA/trade
Lebron-Wade - Bron signs in FA
KD-Russ - the one case in a very long time both were drafted.(unless I am missing one) Also, no championships.

I wouldn’t even consider Pierce and KG a superstar duo. Gasol and Kobe weren’t.

Obvious answers- Kobe and Shaq - one acquired through trade.

In the end, since there are probably 8-9 superstars in the league usually at one time very unlikely one team has two.

When LA traded for Kawhi and PG we all thought they could he a superstar duo but in reality, Kawhi is the superstar. PG13 is not
