That’s pretty normal
I don’t know that this group moves the needle on a Celtics matchup. I think it leaves them in a good position with most every other matchup in the East. Sixers would need to hope for someone else to get that upset of the Celtics for a chance to win the East.

So is it good enough to win the East? Obviously it depends on Embiid. Is the roster so good you would give up 2 1st's for those players?
Just commented on this with my response to The Q. I don’t think it takes them over the top on the Celtics. I think this is good enough to give them the edge in a 7 game series vs everybody else. Of course, this all assumes a healthy Embiid and this is the kind of deal that may be more likely to net results in 24-25 more so than 23-24 which is fine because Embiid is going to be less than 100% guaranteed in the playoffs this year.

They played in different leagues which impacts numbers but what stands out to me is Maxey’s efficiency. Very excited he’s been rewarded with an All Star nod

Honestly, I would trade Garland for him right now. Just find a way to match salaries with LeVert. Add Reddish in the deal.
I'd certainly consider it.....but I also wonder what Mitchell would think about that. I get the sense he really likes playing with Garland and while it would help us a lot this year, does he want to deal with the LeDrama going forward? Never mind what happens if Lebron does not even choose to stay.

Good point on Mitchell because of LeBron rules:
1. If things go well, it’s LeBron who gets the credit
2. If things go poorly, everybody else gets the blame.

This should be good....guessing Embiid not on higher rung solely for health though?
Not a bad group to be a part of. This is ring culture. With the exception of Kawhi, the super stars are ringless and the mega stars all have rings. Much of the mega stars are at the back end and their status is based on what they’ve done more than what they’re currently doing (LeBron, Curry, KD).

and 3 (if 2 happens). Lebron walks and so does Mitchell.
Oh fuck! Didn’t think of that but that’s a real kick in the dick situation. That could happen.

Lebron and Curry are still really good I think (not at peak level, true). If it is health that keeps out Embiid fair to wonder why not an issue for Durant and he still made it on that rung.

KD has rings. When evaluating “star” level that makes a big difference. We can debate whether it should or not but that’s definitely the culture around sports especially the NBA.

Dump Garland and Levert AND it goes sideways for whatever reason? I think it's even likely Lebron and DM are both gone.

Hope by then Utah has collected on our picks.

I’m a big fan of bad Joel Embiid impressions and Maxey’s always delivers haha.

while I agree with this I also think Jokic is on top rung for whoever made it without his title. Likely due to production and health. But you are correct in that the ring may put KD on it over Embiid based on how they are playing currently
