I’ve tried to hold my tongue on this because I know it just comes off as belly aching and bitching. At the same time, it’s true. I’ve followed Embiid enough to know he’s got strengths and deficiencies when it comes to his character. The entire basketball world raked him over the coals for missing the 2023 game in Denver. Aspects of NBA media have run with this ducking narrative in part because of the way the Sixers schedule fell with him being healthy for a stack of the schedule with dookers, multiple games against teams like Detroit Washington and Charlotte. They’ve come at the man and questioned his character and integrity.it's impossible to say honestly.
I agree with you for the most part...I think Lebron always being questionable is bullshit. He's too big of a draw for that shit. And I defend Lebron on most everything..
Obviously holding Embiid out for Denver would have been the right thing they just called it too late. That's probably a one off with Joel being stubborn and wanting to play.
When he fell against Indiana that fall looked worse than the Kuminga play i thought.
I’m not famous. I don’t know how these guys do it. Imagine living your life and going on to social media and seeing awful shit said about you? Imagine clicking channels and seeing an NBA show and Kendrick Perkins fat ass is saying you play or you’re soft? Embiid is human and he hears that noise.
The media in Denver has been the absolute worst on this and have fueled this narrative. There’s nothing any one can say to me that’s going to change my mind that the Denver circumstance, not being on the injury report, etc… was a product of Embiid wanting to squash that narrative.
