Part of me hopes the Lakers square off vs the Thunder. The Lakers can show them what playoff basketball is about since Thunder thinks it's the same as the reg season.

Lmao, I’ve said at least a dozen times I know playoff basketball is different. Guarantee I understand it more than you do. This is all you have at this point though, just need to win more games to make sure you even get there.

So, the league shouldn't worry about getting calls right if it potentially is bad for the Thunder.

Additionally, via replay, they do call things they didn't see. That's why, for example, you'll see a team challenge a call and replay will show that a foul was committed by a different player than the one it was called on...so they change who receives the foul even though the refs didn't "see" that player commit the foul.
Dude it’s all good, we disagree. The team thing is an absolute joke, I’d be saying this if the circumstances were reversed. You can’t call what you don’t see, and I expect that is what the league will say later today. If they make a change so be it, but it’s still not a guaranteed that Portland wins the game.

Fairly certain that's what they'd do.

Man, this is a rough one for me. Caruso is a great add to the group. However, I hate the fit of DeRozan. He’s a midrange guy and he’s gonna need the spots on the floor already occupied by where you want Embiid to be able to work. I think you need a 3 pt threat to space the floor.

If the Sixers acquire a DeRozan or a Lavine it’s sending the message that says that the Sixers front office don’t think Maxey is ready to be the number 2 in the playoffs and DeRozan is insurance for that.

I would prefer this.

The Hornets would then likely buy out DeRozan who can go sign with a playoff team. Sixers would be:
Maxey - Caruso - Batum - Harris - Embiid starting five with a playoff bench of
Melton, Pat Bev, Oubre, Hayward, BBall Paul

The Sixers would still be below the apron with this only adding 500k in total salary so they could potentially get another buy out guy that could be a better defensive back up 5 as BBall Paul insurance for the playoffs.
also think I'd like this better for you as you are thinking fit and not name.

Fyi it appears that both teams now have 5 days to submit statements so this will take a bit.

I doubt we'll know anything today.

The Blazers have to formally protest the game, which they have 48 hours to do. They must also include a check for $10,000.

After that, the Commissioner has to notify the other team of the challenge.

From that time, each team has 5 days to present evidence to support their case.

Then, the Commissioner has 5 days to render his decision.

With Vegas involved in sports even more so now than back in 2008 when this last happened. I do NOT see the NBA allowing this to be replayed. How much $$ would Vegas and all sports betting apps lose if the outcome changes.
Is it possible they'd benefit with a change? since they like to win no matter the outcome I doubt Vegas matters.

It would be a logistical nightmare and Vegas taking a bath. They’re unlikely to remove winnings from players accounts. They’d likely just make the game a no play and return the value of the bet to the better. This is a nightmare for Vegas. They would take a bath on this one. They would have paid out the winners and given the losers their money back.
OK....I stand corrected. That's a good point.

But not sure they are consulted.

Yup so it would appear it will take 10 days or so. The teams only have one game left but it is in Portland on March 6.

Yup no way to get the money back from paid out tickets. I’m sure all of this is in the fine print, once a ticket is paid it is final.

Not so sure about that....I've been paid back when they didn't have to.

But I'm not as sure as some that Vegas will be consulted/considered.
