Cavs with another great defensive performance. Jarret Allen at 15 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 apg and playing defense at an extremely high level.

Strus, Niang, and Merrill have been some nice shooting options they did not have last year.

I gotta say- surprised they have played this well since Mobley and Garland went down- but it has been needed- if they were treading water or had a losing record since those 2 went down they would not be in a good spot to get a decent seed in the East. What they have been doing lately is really important looking towards the 2nd half of the season.

Merrill and Porter Jr. are a couple nice development stories too.

Boston, Milwaukee and Philly are still the 3 teams to beat in the East- and I do not think the Cavs are on their tier yet--- but its a young team that still has a lot of growing to do.

Dort acknowledged his late foul on Antman was a bad play but Edwards had 9 less fg attempts than his average and that can be attributed to Dort. Daigneault on Dort, “He’s gonna take punches, he’s boxing against the heavyweights of the NBA every night. But he just eats them. He eats the punches and he keeps coming, and it’s impressive to watch night after night”. Glad to have this guy locked up at a reasonable rate for a few years.
