Nuggets & 76ers will be playing again soon. This time in Denver.

Heard this one of ATH last week.

Embiid has never faced Jokic in Denver.

Haha yes he has. Jokic actually has a walk off jump shot in regulation (or maybe first OT?) right in Embiid’s face in 2019. The 2020 game got fucked because of Covid. In 2021 Embiid had Covid. In 2022 he was out for a 10-12 day span with injury when the @ Denver game was played. In 2023, there was no reason provided and Embiid deserves that criticism.

That’s one fucking game. Nuggets fans are weird as fuck with this Jokic Cult and their narratives.

Meanwhile, when the two show up on the court you can’t fake it. It’s basketball player vs basketball player and Embiid is 6-2 all time vs him and as clearly outplayed him in most of those head to head contests.

Denver is making the WCF with health, unless some team makes a game changing trade.

Tough to say who will make the WCF. Like you said the W is wild this season. Alotta good basketball. It's all gonna be about health. Won't even try to guess who makes the conferences finals in either conference right now. Still alotta hoops left.

Hey what about the Cavs? They have to be the surprise of the league so far considering all the time Garland & Mobley have missed. On pace to win 50 without a healthy line up. Pretty impressive.

Celtics got rid of Marcus at the right time. Still miss him though. Now D. White's my current favorite Celtic.

What has all of Embiid's dominance gotten him? One MVP and a bunch of early playoff exits.

Not talking shit, that's just a fact. For as great as Embiid is I'd rather Jokic. He's done more with less talent around him and he's reliable. I don't think he's missed 20 total games in his career.

You’re gonna get really angry with me but the only guy on your roster that gives you a fighting chance in a series with Denver is PJ Tucker. Jokic is a player without a weakness. However, he is programmed to be unselfish. When you play him small he’s getting better at realizing this but he’s still not all the way there. He has to punish the defense with 40-45 points when they play him like that. He will never take the volume of touches to do that. He’s a pass first player. You play him with a guy who is sneaky tough on the post with quick hands and you lock down the “others”. Murray is the guy you give special attention to.

Yeah I’m familiar with all the narratives. I’m not sure what this has to do with the fact that when they meet on the court Embiid is just better head to head. People can narrative all day long. Ball don’t lie. Embiid matches up well vs him.

Script is still being written. Hakeem didn’t win one until he was 30. Who knows? Maybe Embiid can catch a run where 3 of the 4 teams he meets are play in teams and not the Boston Celtics.
