Oh yeah I agree. I just meant this is the best part of the window before it gets tight

Chet’s year 4 is it
All teams have windows if they draft well right?

Yes. But the new cba makes it worse than ever

The days of clipper and warriors
tax bills likely coming to an end

The nba sucks

Yes that’s what I meant, being in a small market isn’t the biggest outlier

It just means they’re probably even less likely to pay big heavy tax bills

It’s going to be very interesting watching Presti try to navigate it

I mean you’re gonna have to cycle the bench. You aren’t gonna be paying most of them

Yup and I doubt teams are going to keep cutting Isaiah Joes

There are always guys like that who get kicked around or given up on

Danny green
Will Barton
Jamychal green

All steals in the second round (and on my lists during their draft years)

You can find some gems but it’s not easy

The market size affects the salary cap? I need to hear this one.

Well yeah, in the sense that it's more difficult for a smaller market team to pay the tax for going over.

You and I discussed this a little while back when I pointed out that 1 problem with the Thunder nailing so many of their picks is that in a coup;e of seasons or so, they're going to have some tough decisions to make.

The good news is with so many picks you won’t have to for a while

It’s a good problem to have I guess but as pointed out the days of teams going way over the cap are coming to an end. Presti will have to handle things wisely but having talent on the roster and picks to spare should help a lot. I’m not saying it’s not going to be difficult but II am saying it’s a good problem to have and market size isn’t a huge part of it.

No doubt. Always better to have to try to figure who you can keep among several good players.

Going for 7 in a row without Garland and Mobley. LeVert out tonight. Their depth is definitely a lot better this year and they have a plethora of shooters. I just hope they can play to their ceiling with Garland and Mobley back too. The issue is with Mobley and Allen in that is two guys who can’t shoot. All their lineups now with the injuries include 4 shooters. Makes a huge difference and Mobley’s defensive presence is great but it doesn’t seem like their overall defense is hurting. Offense better for the most part.

So I hope we see this team when Garland comes back and Mobley is out. See how they play and lineups. It might not be the combo of Mitchell and Garland more so the Allen-Mobley combo and lack of shooting. That would be a big problem
