Nothing to lose I’ll say western conference finals.
Why not? If you have Nuggs/Thunder on the 1/2 line in any order you avoid seeing the one thing I think the Thunder can’t adjust to - a big man playing bully ball isolating Chet. Outside of Jokic who is that guy in the West? Maybe AD or Zion can give that. Are either of those two guys healthy and on the floor come May? That ain’t KAT. That ain’t Gobert. That ain’t Nurkic. That ain’t Zubac. That ain’t Sabonis. If they catch the right matchups why not? Maybe somebody else with a better matchup on Joker can unseat them before the Thunder even need to see that matchup and they win the West.

At least one or their fuckups worked out this time lol

Chris Paul (not that he'd have stayed there) would've accidentally won games

Well, at least he wouldn’t have lost as many as Poole.

Man lakers will be the scary draw

Especially one they turn Russell, DHS and a 2029 first into a legitimate starting guard
Yep.

You grind and run threw teams all season and land top 2 and your reward is a 1st round matchup with Lebron and AD….lol

But would’ve been gone next year and not really hurt them since I can’t figure out this draft anyway

it's a weird draft. If it's me I'm taking Wemby light

I'm not fucking with these G League dudes.

they can't win games in the G league man. Do you think Lebron would have an 0 and 8 record in the G League in 2003? hell no he wouldn't. Ja Morant wouldn't. Zions fat ass wouldn't.

These kids are suspect. and the Thompson twins struggles make me even more suspicious of it all.

Yeah right now I’m leaning into sarr

But he’s not the best fit for det, but you may need to bite the bullet and work on his stroke and hope for the best

There was a thread on Reddit that had this discussion.

Jalen Green and Kuminga are the only two with any sort of real success.

He's young. Obviously I have bad dreams over the last 2 French kids they've taken (Sekou and Hayes) but all the more reason that this can't possibly go wrong a 3rd time

right??

And while we are on Sekou he was on the G League champ last year. Ron Holland is losing to Sekou. Just bleh.

a lot of kids are raw and they get developed...even if it is one year in college.

The college kids are smoking the G League ones.

If it's me I'm not even bothering with anyone who started on the Ignite. Take them off the list immediately.

Some of these guys will pop

Holland is a tight end playing small forward

Reminds me a bit of derozen

The question is who can improve their shooting

The nba believes they can fix alot of guys

and Kuminga took a lot to get there. All I'm saying is it looks like development wise they're punting a year.

I will give you Jalen. He is pretty good.

You forget they’re facing guys 4-6 years older than them

Many college stars
They’d trounce most if not every college team

And putting all of them on the same team is tough on them since there’s no spacing

I think these guys would’ve beat up college like many of the other top prospects did

Half way through I have yet to see Chet get bullied in any meaningful way. They have enough talent to avoid that it seems.

It’s still the regular Season.

Whatever happens is just for shit talking purposes.

I’m talking about the playoffs.

Memphis and Sacto put boot to ass to everyone in the regular season.

They got snuffed by veteran rosters in the playoffs.

Maybe the Thunder can be different.

But, I wouldn’t take them over the Clippers or Nugz based on anything that happens in the regular Season.

This isn’t exclusive to them.

Who here is taking the Pacers over the Celtics, Heat, 6ers?

They love taking the Bucks cookies all season.

Who here is picking them against Giannis in a playoff series?
Everything is going according to plan for OKC. Last year people said oh these guys are going to be good. This year everyone sees how good they are, and now they will win a playoff series, maybe even two. But unlikely they win a title this year (not impossible but very unlikely). This is the playoff experience year. Won't be at all surprised if they win in 2025 or 2026, kind of think they will. They remind me of the 2014 Warriors, young team on the rise, almost ready for a title.

what are they doing all year? if this is supposed to be a legit venue for talent then the coaching needs to ramp up substantially. Otherwise all you're doing is telling these kids how great they are and letting them do whatever they want while the product on the court sucks

0 and 8 man. That's hard to fathom if you're telling me Holland could be the top pick (he was predicted there on some mocks)

I really think that’s a product of a one night out deal vs an NBA staff with playoff talent and diversity being able to exploit a matchup in a 7 game series. There’s something different when you get into playoffs.

no doubt

but this is becoming a smoke/fire deal to me

Sure.

None of these guys are the generational talents

The closest is probably scoot

But even he wasn’t on that level
