Teams with vets like Jimmy or Lebron are going to find another level in the playoffs. Doesn't mean they can reach OKC though if they're that good.
Oh no doubt, I know all this. In truth i worry that the Thunder are putting too much into every single game, but get ready to get blasted if you try to tell them to play any other way. It’s a process, odds are they won’t be any different than any other team at this stage in their development has been. They have the look of a team that could be different though. Going to be fun to watch.

Okay.

So, don’t dance around it.

Pick them.

I say they won’t get out of the 2nd round.

I say, as currently constructed, the Nugz, Clippers and Suns would beat them in a playoff series.

I say, the Lakers are a trade away from making a run and they would also beat a inexperienced Thunder in a playoff series.

What is your prediction for them?
Man lakers will be the scary draw

Especially one they turn Russell, DHS and a 2029 first into a legitimate starting guard

Nothing to lose I’ll say western conference finals.

Okc is a young team with almost no playoffs experience. Also they have avoided the injury bug for the most part for their top players

Regular season basketball is not playoffs basketball. Game slows down and teams are locked in on you
Yup.

This team is on the cusp of greatness.

Like…

In the very near, next few years, future.

They just need experience and time.

they waited too long on Beal. they had one semi decent season where Russ's hero ball got them a playoff spot and they thought they could add spare parts from LA and build a team.

Be really bad but don't build to extend mediocrity.

Fortunately they're nailing the really bad part now.

the Poole trade cemented that one.

And that was completely accidental.

They thought Poole was an asset when the dealt for him.

100%.

This is not me placating you.

The Thunder are frightening.
They even scare me out of getting as excited as I probably should. I’m not even going to say how lucky they have been in some areas, they are bad ass enough to overcome anything that comes. How’s that? Seriously, here is the thing about this team I’m not sure I’ve seen often. They get on rolls on offense where every single possession results in a quality shot, and they are going in at a pretty much unprecedented rate. I keep waiting on it to stop, and for the most part it just doesn’t. It’s been half a season now. They flat out wear teams down. I get how that is easier to do in the regular season, but that doesn’t mean they won’t have another gear too. So much fun.

At least one or their fuckups worked out this time lol

Chris Paul (not that he'd have stayed there) would've accidentally won games

they certainly could but we never see a team leap from no playoffs to a title.

There is always that year or two of figuring it out.
2021 Suns probably came the closest.

But, Book had guys with a ton of experience in the postseason.

the D ramps up substantially in the playoffs obviously. They're shooting lights out. Let's see how they do on contested shots in the bright lights.

Obviously I'm Hella jealous of your team and would give up a pinky finger to put that team in Detroit.

But would’ve been gone next year and not really hurt them since I can’t figure out this draft anyway

I get it for sure, I guess I would counter with most of the time they have been good enough on defense themselves to withstand those periods.
