The Sixers really lacked wings for the longest time. The fact that they brought back 4 wings and 2 of them can’t get any minutes speaks to these guys filling a major hole and that was seen last night. Tatum was kept under control last night not because he played poorly or shot poorly…it’s because a guy who averages 21 shots per game over the last 3-4 years only got up 14. That’s a product of the Sixers wing defense.
Would love to see the Sixers swap Melton for Caruso. Really hoping the Bulls fail and want to tear it up.
You may be right but it’s too early to call. Bringing in The System is going to take time for adaptation and finding a way for it to be maximized. In the end, you may be right. I just think we can’t make this declaration until we get through the Christmas Day games at the earliest. I think they make it work. You have a ton of high basketball IQ players in the mix there.
Harden being a fucking moron is a god send for the Sixers. The Sixers really did want to see that Embiid Harden pairing more before committing to Harden long term. If Harden wanted to stay, the Sixers would be worse off but they would have done it. Harden is dumb because there is no better situation for him as a player than playing pick and roll with Embiid. No better situation for him. He’s a dope for not seeing it.

And that too. It’s only been 2 games but Batum has actually been the guy the Sixers wanted Horford and Tucker to be next to Embiid. The Fuck You Toughness that Tucker brought to the group has been replaced by Pat Bev who is better suited to be that guy because that’s his only role and he accepts it for 12–14 minutes a game.
