Holy shit! Look at the Sixers 3Qs. Is that what happens when you actually have a coach who works during halftime and doesn’t just keep saying “Come on guys. Come on guys.” I like this idea of having a competent NBA coach. Wish the Sixers had thought of it sooner.
Another one I liked. The addition of Nurse was one of their smartest moves in years.

Work needs to get over.

I don't want to fucking be here. And something is in the works at home. I know it.

I',m not out on the Kangz yet.

I'm out lol

As I said in the predictions thread, last year everything went right for them health wise and I don't see that repeating and we see how they look with Fox out. Sure other injuries will happen. I think best case scenario for them is a play-in squad

Yeah I had the breakdown in that thread. All of their top 8-9 guys played I believe at least 73 or 74 games.....that ain't normal

I hear ya. I’m torn on that. But let me play Devil’s advocate from the other side. Analytics have even impacted the way athletes train and prepare. If you are working on your bag all year it’s that distance jumper you’ve trained over and over and over again. It’s not just the Jays. It’s all over the league.

For me, there’s nothing more open in those spots as the mid range jumper. Nobody defends it well anymore. Guy goes to the hoop and the defense expects finish or penetration to get a 3 so they look for shooters. You go to the rim and pull up at 8-10 you are likely getting a high percentage look. In theory…but these guys don’t work that shot anymore and when we are talking big moments you want muscle memory to take over to deal with pressure and when you’re in that spot you go to the comfort zone. Maybe that midrange is the next step for their development.
To me, the big possibility that is taken away by not being "drive first" is the higher possibility of getting fouled.

Sure, refs are a little more likely to swallow their whistle at the end of games... but it's still more likely you draw a foul when you go to the rim.

That aside... I'd agree the midrange is a bit of a lost art in today's NBA.

For Tatum and Brown, though... way too often it seems like their 'Plan A' is to dance and shoot. Especially for big, athletic wings like them... that's the wrong mindset (IMO). Their 'Plan A' should always be to drive... and only deviate from that if the defense totally takes that option away.

Pels?

Gutsy pick.

Nugz, Suns, Dubs, Mavs.

If they can get healthy, Kings.

The Mavs chances of getting 50 wins this season will all depend where Kyrie's head is. Because as everyone knows at any moment he could need some me time.

i could see Nuggets, Suns, Lakers, Clippers, Thunder, Mavs, Pels and Warriors.

I don't see all of them winning 50, but those are the most likely, imo.

Lakers, Suns, Clippers, and Pels will come down to how many games their stars are available.

The Clippers have the added challenge of figuring out how to use Harden and him buying in.

They look really good right now with all the new additions but it's subject to change...

valid point, the only real close loss was to the Heat though. We will see how they develop. They should be competing to make the playoffs though.

they were beating both Portland and Golden State in the 4th quarter lol

Burks played 3 games missed 6, Ivey and Duren have missed 3 each (all losses)

they're missing 4 of their top 9 in their rotation

Why doesn't Ivey start? What's so special about Hayes? I am honestly not impressed with him. He is a JAG to me lol
