Why doesn't Ivey start? What's so special about Hayes? I am honestly not impressed with him. He is a JAG to me lol

I don't know man

I think Monty is making a point that Ivey has to play D to get his rightful starting spot. Hayes plays solid D but his jumper is trash. At least Ivey gets the defenses attention..

They made due without Bojan but the real miss was not having Burks. He was crucial to the first 3 games and finished with the starters. And having Duren hobbled.

Morris is out as is Harris. Their depth is shot right now.

To me, the big possibility that is taken away by not being "drive first" is the higher possibility of getting fouled.

Sure, refs are a little more likely to swallow their whistle at the end of games... but it's still more likely you draw a foul when you go to the rim.

That aside... I'd agree the midrange is a bit of a lost art in today's NBA.

For Tatum and Brown, though... way too often it seems like their 'Plan A' is to dance and shoot. Especially for big, athletic wings like them... that's the wrong mindset (IMO). Their 'Plan A' should always be to drive... and only deviate from that if the defense totally takes that option away.
Brown is tough to count on drive at the end of the game because his cover will make him go left.

Well, Ivey has been sick for the last two games, so there is that.
But as @Stakesarehigh said Monty wants to emphasize defense and Killian's is better than Ivey's. And Killianplayed much better last night when they let him run the point and had Cade at the 2; but we've seen those flashes of good Killian before to just disappear again.

I'd rather start Ivey so we may not always be digging out of as big a hole.

But, I think the real reason may be that Monty is not really that great of a coach. His success has come with stacked teams and he still disappointed except for one year.

He’s def out there

He’s a guy who needs that level of delusion to do his thing

But when he falls off it’s gonna get ugly

So 27 year old Brooks is ready to shut 38 year old LeBron down?

Does he ever pick a fight with someone his own age?

One of these days we'll hear a story about Brooks knocking down an old man at the mall on purpose.

Tell that to Lebron and the Lakers lol. Ref might like to know as well...

The Mavs chances of getting 50 wins this season will all depend where Kyrie's head is. Because as everyone knows at any moment he could need some me time.
So far… no issues.

For some - this isn’t an issue. But for most it’s a BIG issue. Not sure what direction the Association plans on going but it damn sure won’t be with Bally.

I really liked Killian during the draft.

But he just didn't improve.

Start of this Season he has looked like a guy fighting for a contract.

That's good and bad.
