Great scorer, the Thunder can score with anyone. Honestly if he was a great defender it would mean more in my mind. A high scoring game favors the younger better shooting team every time.

You can get away without Book against some of the mediocre games. You will have a hard time beating a top 5 team without him

Problem there is among the top 4-5 there's no 'best' player. No way to objectively prove it. Just like GOAT and superstar debates.

Of the teams I mentioned, Suns are definitely the easiest matchup because they don’t have a dominant big.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the Thunder won.

Yup, and so many things that give the Thunder reason for optimism when compared to those teams. Neither Memphis or Sacramento were close to the Thunder defensively. Cavs were 5th, Thunder are third. Where the Thunder really shine in the comparisons is shooting the basketball though. Pick a spot, threes, free throws, doesn’t matter, the Thunder shoot the ball better than all those teams. I’m excited and know I damn well should be. I know it would be unheard of, but that’s what this team has been doing all year. The combination of shooting and defense just hasn’t happened this soon before. Let’s do it.

And my bad on the year before, but they and the Cavs were 5th. Thunder are higher. Like I said, the biggest difference is the shooting. I’m well aware it hasn’t happened, not the norm. But the Thunder haven’t been the norm, even by any of these other teams standard.
