This guy is full of excuses

Looking over the schedule... Milwaukee has played 6 out of Doc's first 10 games on the road.

A little imbalance... but hardly a deal worth mentioning.

Easy to say with complete hindsight. At the time, Odom was a borderline all star caliber player and great 6 man type. Bynum was an all star center, arguably the best center in the game at the time (not a great time period for centers but still), and was in his mid twenties. The season this trade was on the table, I think he even made All NBA. No one knew at the time he was gonna get hurt and just stop giving a shit and be out of the league like 3 years later. And those are just the two players Melo mentioned as the anchors of the deal. The way the deals work, you know there would have been loads of picks involved and likely other players. In the mindsight of 2011, that's a fair offer. And as Melo alluded to in the interview, Karl didn't turn it down because it was a bad deal but because he was at odds with Melo, knew that was where Melo wanted to go, and wasn't gonna give him his desired option.

You are expressing anger at George Karl.

When he did what was best for his team instead of what was best for the Lakers.

Pretty narrow view.

I mean, he's not necessarily wrong.

But it's like a few weeks ago when Darvin Ham mentioned injuries as the reason for the Lakers inconsistent play...it may be true...but he can't be the one who says it.

But no matter what, he’s going to talk about it as much as possible before hand.

You do know they asked him about it right? Is he supposed to be an ass and not respond when we all know retirement is coming soon? You would have had a problem with that as well I bet

I didn’t say they didn’t, we just know this guy. It will be the farewell tour of farewell tours, we know that and it’s fine. Him saying anything else might happen is what is ridiculous lol.

He might....but only if asked and, yes, they will keep asking.

And as I said, you, me and everyone else only know it worked out better for the Nuggets because of hindsight. At the time, that was a fair deal and Karl shut it down not because it was bad deal or wanting the best for his team, but more a fuck you to Carmelo Anthony.
